So dang good. Authentic Japanese food that is authentic and so tasty. All sorts of options and so many more to try. Felt like a neighborhood joint — they roe nixed people as they walked in. Intimate atmosphere. Reasonably priced. And people are speaking Japanese all around you. Highly reccomend
Consistent. We come here often and they consistently make great sushi as well as everything else. Anytime the family wants sushi this is where we come. Don’t sleep on the tuna tartar it’s amazing!
Been coming by for 10+ years since they opened. Used to be great and now not so good. Ingredients were not fresh. Ordered Omakase, Yakitori, Udon (was good as usual)….everything tasted like it was made yesterday…not nearly as good as usual. Service has declined recently too. All fish tasted bad and not fresh except the yellowtail carpaccio. Even the fried chicken and grilled shishito and mushrooms yakitori were rotten and bad. I know the owner and manager was not there on this visit (May 2, 2026) and it showed.
Adorable Japanese restaurant, expect a wait time for dinner! I came on a Saturday night and was about a 30/45 min wait which I didn’t mind. Skewers were one of the best here. Great tasting high quality sushi. Interior is pretty small, they do offer outdoor seatings w/covers as well.
This is one of the very few places in Houston that made me feel I was back in Tokyo…love the atmosphere, food and employees. Can’t wait to come back again.
