We had dinner here two nights in a row and really enjoyed it, a great Japanese restaurant in the heart of Houston! Standouts for us were the spicy tuna (highly recommend) and the barracuda, which was delicious. They had a fresh delivery from Japan one evening, so we tried the sea urchin, it was excellent but quite expensive for one portion. The chicken yakitori was also very good and worth ordering. The chicken fat rice, however, was overrated in our opinion, we’d probably skip it next time. The only downside was that service was quite slow on both visits. There were plenty of chefs visible, but the front-of-house service didn’t match the kitchen pace. Overall, a solid spot with some excellent fresh fish and dishes. We’d happily return for the quality of the food!
Some of the most fresh high quality sushi I’ve had in a while. Really high level food in a nice easy environment inside Bravery chef food hall. Ideal if you are looking for some top shelf sushi without the big restaurant hassle. Friendly staff and incredibly fast service.
Very cool atmosphere with a full bar inside you can get a drink and sit for amazing sushi. Every dish was quality and the service was perfect. Perfect place to have a lot of different options.
Korkoro is located within a Chef’s hall. We went in looking for good sushi, and we definitely found it there! We sat at the bar and enjoyed watching the chef’s professionally carry out their craft. The fish source is listed on the wall, so you know exactly what you are getting. The service was friendly and prompt. The yakitori was done to perfection, the sushi was yummy/fresh and the salad was spot on. We ordered a few rolls, sashimi, chicken wing yakitori, shiitake mushroom yakitori, shishito peppers and cucumber salad. The cool thing is that you can order from other locations within the chef hall and eat together, regardless of your choice. The vibe was modern, and chill. We got craft beers from the bar. I’d recommend this location for anyone looking for good sushi. We would return when back in Houston.
Intimate & definitely a hidden gem of Houston. Our server Mia was kind, attentive and provided a lot of great recommendations, each and every one hitttt. The food itself was phenomenal!! We loved all of the nigiri, rolls & sides. The atmosphere was cozy, cute and inviting. I could not recommend this place enough!
