The best sushi I've had in a very long time. The restaurant is quaint, the service was top-notch, and sitting at the sushi bar made the experience even better. I'll definitely be coming back. The sake selection was excellent. Mr. Edward guided us through the menu, recommending some of his favorites, and every choice was outstanding. The flavors completely blew our palates away.

This sushi spot made for the perfect date night — a much-needed evening away from the kids filled with great food, relaxing atmosphere, and plenty of rolls and romance. Every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious, and you could immediately taste the freshness and quality in the sushi. The fish was fresh, the presentation was beautiful, and everything felt thoughtfully prepared. The atmosphere was intimate without being overly formal, making it easy to relax, enjoy the meal, and actually slow down for a while. Definitely a place we’ll keep coming back to for future date nights.

A bit undecided about this spot. They’re clearly authentic japanese style, and good, but at the same time the menu lacks diversity and creativity for this caliber. Def fresh fish and good ingredients. But…not much soul somehow. I was also surprised to see exactly the same dessert (incl presentation) as in Annam. These 2 restaurants have very different cuisine and concept. Even if they share the owner, this highlights the lack of creativity.

My first visit to MF Sushi was in 2015, and my latest visit 11 years later was just as impressive as the first. We sat at the sushi bar to change up the pace and catch the head sushi chef working his art. Truly amazing. This is a place you come to for the quality of the fish. We had 2 orders of the avocado balls with spicy tuna, so good. Chutoro and ocean trout sashimi, it was so tender and the taste so uniquely fresh. We tried the chef’s deluxe nigiri, none of the cuts disappointed. The hamachi appetizer was also very good. Our last dish was the lobster Osaka box, my favorite roll in the whole wide world! Still as satisfying as the first time I had it. It’s a sushi restaurant with style and atmosphere, a great date night spot. 100% recommended, over and over again.

MF Sushi has good food, but the service was very lacking. They were out of several items, and we weren’t told until 20–30 minutes after ordering, and my drink order never arrived, the service seemed disorganized and chaotic. For the price and the vibe, the food wasn’t good enough to make up for the experience, There are much better sushi restaurants in the Greater Houston area. The only bright spot was the valet — he was super friendly and quick.
