DO NOT hire Luis Benz. The entire reason I hired him was because he confidently told me my case would probably get dismissed and that I didn’t have to take the probation deal. He kept telling me my case was small, I was a student, it was my first time ever getting in trouble, and that dismissal was the goal. So I trusted him and listened to his advice. He even told me about other cases and people that he’s represented that had bigger charges that he was able to get dismissed without probation. Fast forward OVER A YEAR later, and my case is still not dismissed. For an entire year, my case got reset over and over and over again while I kept getting told that everything was “part of the plan.” Meanwhile I was wasting time, missing things for court, stressing constantly, and paying money for absolutely NOTHING. I could’ve represented myself if this was going to be the outcome. The communication was honestly terrible. Him and his legal assistant were disorganized the entire time. There were multiple times where I didn’t even know I had court until the DAY BEFORE. Trying to get updates or clear answers was almost impossible. Then at my last court date, after dragging this out for over a year, he basically admitted we were just “hoping” the prosecutor would dismiss it because she seemed more experienced. She DIDN’T dismiss it. So now I’m sitting here realizing I could’ve just taken the probation deal a year ago and probably already been done with everything by now. I wasted a year of my life listening to false confidence and empty promises. I should’ve known from the beginning this was a mistake. The horrible communication, the constant delays, even the crumbled-up business card he gave me should’ve been a sign. I seriously regret hiring him and would never recommend this law firm to anyone.

Luis Baez is an incredible attorney. One of the reasons I went with his firm is because he is also a former prosecutor and I valued his previous experience a lot. He is upfront and honest and most importantly very knowledgeable. He was able to answer every question I ever had without issue. He got my case dismissed and I could not be more grateful. A huge thank you to Luis and his team. I would definitely consider him again if I needed it and work recommend others to him.

Brian Foley is a fantastic legal attorney who knows what he’s talking about. He has a lot of connections in the local legal scene and is always straightforward and honest about what is going on in your case.

Luis and his team helped me through a very complicated case, and I could not have asked for a more diligent, caring, and hard working team to help me. He will make sure you get the outcome you want, and also keeps you informed about what's happening along the way.

I'm so thankful that Mr. Baez was my court appointed defense attorney. I couldn't have gotten better legal representation even if I'd been able to pay! He was knowledgeable, communicative, didn't push me to accept a plea deal, and was prepared to take my case all the way to trial. Thankfully, charges were dismissed the morning of the trial. I'm confident Mr. Baez would've prevailed in litigation... I like to believe the DA thought so too!
