Prices are outrageous. I had already purchased my key fob and just needed the key to be cut. I was going to program it myself. They quoted me $100-140. Not having much experience with this, I didn’t know if that was high or not so I got more quotes. I called Batteries+ and they told me it would cost $19.99. Ace Hardware said they could do it for $15.99. I could understand if they added an extra $20 for their travel if they are coming to me and wanted to charge a total of $40 or even $50, but $100-140 is a huge leap from the industry standard pricing. It was a HECK no for me. I also didn’t really care for them broadcasting my service request to all their technicians so I was bombarded with calls, voicemails and text messages all at once. I appreciate the response but that was a bit much. And none of the guys introduced themselves. One of them just texted “Need locksmith”.

The job is done, but wasn’t a good experience. My husband left the keys to our car in Galveston. I mentioned that on the phone and when the locksmith arrived. He asked if I wanted two keys and I said no since I have another in Galveston. He got a key working and all was well. I get my original key back and it doesn’t work. No one told me it would disable the original key. I called them and they apologized and said we will get you another one for $140. They came out, didn’t give me a new key and reset my old key. The same kind of key that their first locksmith said was garbage. They were here 10 minutes. Felt like I was misled twice and paid for their lack of communication. I did receive a call from the original locksmith and we discussed what happened. Didn’t change the result, but did make me feel better about the situation.

I requested a locksmith because my door would not open, even with me having my door key. I just wanted the problem fixed nothing extra, because I couldn’t afford anything else and I explained that upfront. Locksmith came out, began examining my door, then began to remove something from my door with his tool(watever it’s called), as he was removing something from the door, it broken upon his removal, he then states, I’ve never had this happen to me before “, obviously he broke something from my door that wasn’t broke before he began working on it. He then got on the phone with his boss(the owner) and then explains to him what happened and what should he do. He told me that he broke my lock cylinder, and told me he would fix my key fob for half off since he broke my lock cylinder, something I didn’t ask for or want at that time. I wanted the problem fixed, but I guess he has to make money somehow so he charged me for something else. He then told me that he would text me some information on it and never did. So I left, my problem still remains, and he didn’t pay me for breaking my lock cylinder that he admitted to breaking. I then called and asked to speak to his manager after I never heard from the locksmith. The owner called me, approached me as if I was lying and I was tryna to get something for free, the owner was very argumentative, rude and appears racist as if he doesn’t like my race. He immediately judged me, let me know in summary that I was lying, that what I was saying was not true. Worst experience ever. No customer service at all. The owner never apologized to me for the inconvenience that his locksmith caused me, all he said was , i trained him, he didn’t do such a thing. Don’t use this service. This owner is money hungry, racist, is not on your side, and he will not resolve your issue. He would rather lose your business than to keep your business!
