I utilized Lovelykind for my trial, our couples shower, our rehearsal dinner and wedding and loved all of my looks! Dee was my lead artist for all and is truly amazing at what she does! She is so special and made me feel like a queen! She was such a calming presence and was open to different things I wanted to try or small adjustments I wanted. I felt like she was able to make me still look like myself, but elevated, which is exactly what I was hoping for. Dee and Sofia truly made all of my bridesmaids also look incredible for the wedding! We had 8 bridesmaids, two moms and myself. We started at 10 and were done by 1-2ish! I felt so elegantly beautiful and am grateful for Lovelykind being part of our big day! I would definitely use them again for any future functions!

DO NOT book with Lovelykind Beauty unless you want last-minute scheduling chaos, rushed services, hair and makeup that look nothing like your trial, and to feel genuinely disappointed on one of the biggest days of your life. Looking back, I should have taken the constant miscommunication leading up to my wedding as a sign to find another hair and makeup company, but unfortunately time was not on my side. Initially, everything seemed okay. I had a hair and makeup trial that I was genuinely happy with, which gave me confidence moving forward. Unfortunately, everything went downhill after that. The morning of my wedding, at 9:05 AM, I received a text asking if I could arrive at the venue to begin hair and makeup at 9:45 AM — an hour and a half earlier than our agreed upon start time of 11:20 AM. This was communicated only 40 minutes before the newly proposed arrival time, on the actual day of my wedding. The original timeline had already been finalized and shared with my bridal party, maid of honor, coordinator, photographer, and other vendors two weeks prior. Changing the schedule at the last minute completely disrupted the flow of our wedding day. I was later told they “did not know you wanted to keep that timeline” despite us already confirming it. It eventually became clear they had double booked themselves and were trying to make sure I “was done and out of the way.” I was also originally told that the artist who completed my trial would be doing hair and makeup for all four people I booked services for. That changed the day of the wedding without warning. Another artist — someone I had never met and never had a trial with — suddenly became part of the booking. Had I known that beforehand, I absolutely would have scheduled a trial with her as well. 11:30 AM rolled around and everyone was sitting and waiting in the bridal suite. The artists were late. One artist insisted that she had been at the venue since 11:00 AM, despite the fact that myself and my bridal party had been in the bridal suite since 10:20 AM. There clearly was little to no communication between the artists themselves. Then came the actual services. My hair looked absolutely nothing like my trial or the inspiration photos I provided. Honestly, it looked like a bird’s nest on my head (the blonde hair was the inspiration and mine is the red hair) I tried to trust the process and stay positive, but deep down I already knew something was wrong. The makeup was even worse. It was completed in approximately 15 minutes, and it looked rushed, unfinished, and nothing like the bridal glam look I had previously trialed. I am by no means a makeup artist, but I do take pride in how I do my own makeup — and this genuinely made me feel ugly on my wedding day. My lashes were glued on crooked, my lips weren’t lined properly, my curls had already begun falling, and overall the application looked sloppy and rushed. After finishing, the artist packed up and left within minutes. When I asked what I should do for touch-ups throughout the evening — a service we specifically paid for — I was told “the other artist will touch you up later.” When I asked about my lipstick, I was handed a tiny disposable lip gloss wand with a small amount of gloss that wasn’t even the correct shade. It dried out within 30 minutes. Once I finally had a moment to really look at myself in the mirror after she left, I honestly wanted to cry. The other makeup artist actually had to remove and reapply my lashes twice because they had been placed so poorly. My maid of honor and bridesmaid were also unhappy with their makeup and ended up fixing parts of it themselves. Overall, this experience was incredibly stressful and disappointing. Between the constant invoicing/payment confusion beforehand, the poor communication, the last-minute schedule changes, being double booked, rushed services, and the final results, I can confidently say I would never recommend this company to another bride. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I utilized Lovelykind for my engagement party, trial, and wedding and loved all of my looks! Dee was my lead artist for all and is amazing at what she does! She was such a calming presence and was open to different things I wanted to try or small adjustments I wanted. I felt like she was able to make me still look like myself, but elevated, which is exactly what I was hoping for. Dee and Erica truly made all of my bridesmaids also look incredible for the wedding! They also were so loving on my dog who inserted himself into all of the services that morning (haha)! I felt so elegant and am grateful for Lovelykind being part of our big day!

I highly recommend using Lovely Kind! I used them for hair and makeup for my wedding in February and loved my experience. Dee did my hair and makeup for my wedding day, rehearsal dinner, and bridal portraits and she was wonderful. Not only is Dee extremely talented, she is also so sweet and caring. She made me feel so comfortable and beautiful. The rest of the team styled my bridesmaids and everyone was very pleased with the results. They were prompt and stuck to our schedule, without feeling rushed. The team made sure everyone looked and felt their best! I feel confident recommending Dee and the rest of the Lovely Kind team for your special day!

Booking with Lovely Kind Beauty was truly the best investment I could’ve made for my wedding. Dee was absolutely amazing, she made me feel so calm and cared for, almost like having a close friend with me on my big day. She even took me aside to a quiet room away from all the chaos to get ready, which helped ease the nerves and take it all in. I had two trials with her, and she was incredibly understanding and patient, helping me figure out exactly what I wanted. Thanks to her, I felt absolutely beautiful on both my rehearsal dinner and wedding day. I can’t recommend lovely kind enough!
