Real deal gym. I've trained at gyms across the US and this place belongs with the best of them. I frequent the Muay Thai classes but have done boxing and BJJ as well. Every coach is incredibly respectful, helpful, and more than willing to answer questions. If they notice you're new they'll come over and help with the basics. Strong technique emphasis across the board; coaches prioritize technical sparring over just blasting each other. Everyone who trains here knows the deal and is communicative and receptive. A true team environment. Everyone takes care of their training partners; people are in there for different reasons, some have fights coming up, others come once a week for fitness. It's up to you to communicate what level of intensity you're comfortable with to your partner. Full of committed people who genuinely live the lifestyle and love the sport, with a solid group actively competing at both the amateur and professional level.
This is a real boxing / mma ring. Where a lot of pros train. I had the privilege of been a part of this gym over 20 years ago as an amateur. Great place , great culture!
I had a one on one training with Kayla yeaterday. Wonderful experience, I’m so glad I went! They are very “neuro spicy” friendly, so to speak 😝 thank you for the awesome experience!!
If you’re looking for a gym to actually learn boxing with a good culture, this is not it. On my second day here I realized that there’s no way to teach 20+ people fundamentals foortwork or anything real when it comes to boxing in this tight cramped space. In fact they’ll just have you do “technical” sparring. I landed a few good shots on my partner and I apologized if it was too hard and the dude responds by throwing full weighted punches at me. I told him to calm down and he starts yelling and cursing at me. The “trainers” did nothing but watch this unfold and did nothing to break it up. In fact the trainer instigated us to fight each other. And then all the other people there are also instigating. Why the hell would I step in the right and fight someone my second day there? What a joke of a gym. Steer clear whole bunch of clowns in there that think they know what they’re doing.
They charged me a discounted rate for month long membership without telling me it was only because it would last until the end of the month rather than for a full month. When I tried to cancel they told me I had to pay another full month then I could cancel. After cancelling they charged me again for another month even though I had cancelled 2 months prior.
