I spent so many years here and even though I haven't had the time to show up in a long time, not a day goes by where I don't wish I could be there. I learned a lot of useful techniques and developed good discipline. A great place to learn Karate.
This is a true Okinawan Karate school focused on teaching the students correctly at their own pace as opposed to a typical martial arts school that is focused on cash flow and pushing students thru their belt ranks at a pre-designated pace. The classes are small enough to provide each student with hands on training and the theory / reason behind each movement.
My son has been a student of Sensei McMains for over 10 years. I was grateful to find a martial arts instructor that forces on the many aspects that martial arts has to offer; community, growth, history, discipline, structure, fun, culture and confidence building. Sensei offer all this and more. This program has given my son a 2nd family that has helped to build him into the person he is today. I have found that Sensei McMains is 100% dedicated to his students as well as his own continued development. I am grateful to Sensei McMains and his program for the impact he has had on my son and his life.
