I had the opportunity to enjoy Herand’s Kitchen in the Heights. Beautiful cozy restaurant. Amazing owner who was very helpful concerning the menu. I had Mediterranean Baba ghanoush, Zereshk Rice Greek salad, and garlic falafel, and every bite was absolutely phenomenal. The flavors were vibrant, fresh, and beautifully balanced from start to finish. The baba ghanoush was rich, creamy, and perfectly prepared, with a wonderful smoky depth that complemented the fresh ingredients. The Greek salad was crisp, refreshing, and loaded with flavor, showcasing the quality of each ingredient. The garlic falafel was outstanding—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and seasoned to perfection with just the right blend of herbs and spices. What impressed me most was the attention to flavor and seasoning. Nothing was overpowering, yet every dish was full of authentic Mediterranean character. It is evident that great care goes into the preparation of these foods, creating a dining experience that is both satisfying and memorable. If you appreciate fresh, flavorful Mediterranean cuisine made with quality ingredients and exceptional seasoning, I highly recommend these dishes. An absolutely delicious experience that exceeded expectations.

Herand's kitchen was a dining experience - From the atmosphere and spacious seating area, to the ambience and friendly atmosphere Herand creates, down to the food..the food was impeccable! We had been talking before the meal came and realized midway through the meal that we were suddenly just digging in quietly, fully focused on the meals once they arrived. He built that establishing with his hands and it is truly worth all the hype he gets. 10/10

This place was located right across the street from our AirBnB and we were excited to try it! There are limited options for food diversity where I live so I always try to find foods from other cultures. Herand's did not disappoint! We stopped in for a late lunch and order the beef and chicken. Herand greeted us personally and at the time we were the only ones there and it almost felt like having a personal chef! He had plenty of jokes and shared pictures of his adorable grandchildren. It really made us feel welcomed. The food was aromatic, presented beautifully, and absolutely divine in flavor. We ordered baklava to take with us. (and it was perfectly sweetened- not overpowering- as it should be!) The portions were generous between the two of us and still had leftovers. We will certainly be back before we leave Houston!

Happy Birthday to me! Such an amazing choice for my dinner. We were in and out in less than a hour with plenty of food. It was so good. Honestly not sure what my favorite part. The hummus was the perfect smoothness. The beef so tender. The veggies perfect pickle. Honestly before we even left I was texting couples about a double date there in the future. Simple menu but has all the options you need. Honestly really liked that it was served family style. Seemed to be good for groups or date night.

Absolutely amazing experience at Herand’s Kitchen! The atmosphere of the restaurant was very warm, welcoming, and VERY clean! The owner was very attentive, funny, and kind which made the entire experience even better! The food was to die for, easily one of the best mediterranean places I’ve ever been to, and very affordable for the quality! You can tell he put love and care into the food he makes, with a pinch of a secret family recipe. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!
