My husband and I are staying at the Intercontinental Hotel and decided to try Safina Restaurant upon our arrival. We had a 10-star experience! Our server, Braylon, was the most incredible server we’ve had in a long time! He gave us recommendations, was conversational, was kind, and truly cared about our experience. I can’t recommend him highly enough! We had the Texas Wagyu Sandwich and the Seafood Linguine. We also had cinnamon churros. Safina was amazing and we are grateful!
This is not a Mediterranean food restaurant. Very small portions, overpriced meals. Service was incredibly slow and there were few tables. The Cesar Salad was disappointing. Chicken was overcooked. We won’t be back. For the price, one would expect linens and better service. The ambiance was sterile. Side note- we parked in the “Latitude” garage which has a horrible sewage smell and buyer beware they do not charge $8, like they advertise. When we got out of there it was $43 charge and our car now smells like a toilet.
Our meal was spectacular tonight at Safina. Our waitress was Angelita and she made everything incredibly special. Service was five star and above. The food preparation and flavors are incredible. We will be returning soon and look forward to another great dinner in Safina.A big thank you to Angelita and the team at Safina.
I went to have breakfast, happy to see there are plenty of vegan options (even though some of the vegan options does not have the vegan logo, like the fruit cup). The avocado instead of cheese I asked tofu, awesome change, they should change it that way. It could be more inclusive. I would love to see more plant based options in this type of places. We also tried a chai latte, with soy milk (nice that they have plenty of plant based milks). The chia pudding was awesome as well. An easy addition would be a tofu scramble, since they have several different egg options. Again, it would be more inclusive.
The salad was delicious, and the meat was perfect. I really liked Briceyda; she gave me a warm and friendly feeling. Overall, I loved both the food and the service. I would definitely choose this restaurant again if I come back to Houston.
