Food is horrid. Tasteless. Bakery stuff is worse I have had in any place ever Prices are ok. But veggie drink was outrageous Service is poor if you are not Spanish speaker or even if you do, then it is still bad. The girl with braces was ok, but the other one is bad Set up to look like Mexico, but looks like junk. My friend who was with me says she knows the owner. She told the girl I cannot eat pork products due to allergies, the girl took it a step out and kept staring rudely. I ordered pancakes. It was the worst. My daughter ordered an egg dish. My friend ordered a taco. $26! The veggie drink was $11. They charged for an extra $2 for one tortilla. All of this would have been $15 or less at any Mexican restaurant in Houston or $10 at MCD. If you are the owner of this place don't reply. Just fix your service girl's attitude Get a new chef and go look at some other places like Yale grill on how to be service oriented Never going back. Too many choices in the area.

-poor service -overcharged customers - no parking Houston Bakery is absolutely terrible. I will never give them my business again. The service is incredibly lackluster — you’ll wait several minutes just to get your food, and somehow my order is constantly wrong. The staff seems disorganized, and communication can be very difficult if you don’t speak Spanish. “Mystery” charges always on my checks. One time they charged me for a plastic fork when I was dining in. Never consistent when it comes to pricing. On top of that, they serve plain tap water to customers, which honestly felt questionable for a food establishment. There are constantly flies around the bakery area, parking is always a nightmare, and the overall experience just feels chaotic and poorly managed. There are way too many good bakeries in Houston to deal with this level of frustration. I definitely will not be returning.

I can not emphasize enough how delicious everything was! The design and decor needs a little bit of love but don’t let it discourage you! I had the best authentic Mexican food. I had barbacoa (legit the same I’ve eaten in Mexico), fresh and tasteful cilantro and simply perfectly cooked rice! delicious champurrado. Also extremely affordable. Please come up with an easier system to tip for the amazing service the staff deserves it.

Place is awesome and the food delicious. The waitress are always friendly and smiling. I drive from Humble to come here at least 3 or 2 times per week

The owner of is place is a very bad person. For Mother’s Day I went to eat here , and my order was not right , talking about the barbacoa it was a different type of meat , it did not look like barbacoa it look more like brisket long dried strands of meat not like barbacoa . Well I told the waitress that it was not right , so she’s like but that is barbacoa and I’m like no . So I got up to pay for the tea that I drank, the waitress comes and asked what was wrong, so I tell her again that is not barbacoa and I was not going to eat it . So she got all paranoid and gets her phone out and gives it to the cashier by this time this girl looks scared . I left 5 dlrs for the tea . So I’m in my car I parked right in front of this place , next thing you know the owner comes out with his phone in his hand recording or taking pictures of my car and license plate, I’m like why you doing that, and didn’t say anything , this man is so arrogant and treats his employees very badly. I’m very sorry ms waitress for leaving that food untouched at the table , but I know my rights as a human and a customer and if the food is not right or good , no one can make you eat it much less pay for something you didn’t eat . This was not my first time there I started eating there since he had this place on Quitman across the street from fiesta mart which had been 40 years ago , and I tell you that this place was my favorite hole in the wall eatery place in NORTHSIDE . And this I can say that this owner is the same arrogant man from back then. He treats them poor girls horribly and he’s them type of person that doesn’t allow them girls to get away with customers returns . He is a bad boss man he will make them pay for it and no one can tell me different because I heard him with me own ears telling a waitress because a customer was upset with his food and left , and that’s when he told the waitress that she was responsible for the tab on that plate . He is so rude , so as of today, I will never return back . I hate the fact that I didn’t take any pictures for evidence (proof) so I can’t show yall but all I can say is once upon a time it was a hella a good place to eat barbacoa tacos but it’s all gone !!!!!!
