We recently visited Rumi’s Kitchen with a larger party and overall had a really enjoyable experience. The ambiance is beautiful — warm lighting, upscale but still comfortable, and the service throughout the meal was attentive and friendly once we were seated. For appetizers, we tried the lamb merguez hummus, Rumi’s wings, labneh charred tomato, mirza ghasemi, crispy potatoes with radicchio, and falafel. The standout apps were definitely the crispy potatoes and the falafel — both were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The wings were also solid. For entrées, we ordered the Soltani, koobideh, chicken barg, lamb shank, and gheymeh. The meats across the board were excellent — super tender, flavorful, and clearly high quality. The lamb shank was a favorite at the table. I’d probably skip the gheymeh stew next time, but the crispy tahdig rice served with it was honestly delicious and worth trying on its own. We also tried the “Poor Translation” mocktail. The non-alcoholic drinks were okay, but not particularly memorable compared to the food. Dessert was the Persian ice cream sandwich, which was a perfect way to end the meal — light, refreshing, and not overly sweet. The only downside of the night was the reservation handling. Our reservation was for 9:00 PM, made several days in advance, but we weren’t seated until around 9:40 PM. We had a child in our party who ended up falling asleep before the food even arrived, which definitely put a damper on the evening. I really wish they managed reservations more efficiently, especially for larger groups. That said, the food quality, atmosphere, and overall dining experience were still very good, and we’d likely come back again — just with lower expectations around reservation timing.

I’ve visited Rumi's Kitchen a couple of times, and every experience has been exceptional. From the ambiance and service to the food itself, everything is truly top-notch. The restaurant perfectly embodies what clean, high-quality food should be. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. The servers were attentive, friendly, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal, which elevated the overall dining experience even further. The drinks deserve a special mention as well—they were creative, expertly crafted, and on another level altogether. While Rumi's Kitchen is a bit on the pricier side, the quality of the ingredients, execution of the dishes, service, and overall experience fully justify the cost. One thing to keep in mind is that the restaurant is extremely popular and almost always packed, so I highly recommend making a reservation in advance. Even though the dining space is quite large, it can feel a bit crowded at times. The tables are placed very close together, making it somewhat tight to walk around or pull out a chair. During our visit, our chair was actually touching the chair of a guest at the neighboring table. A little more spacing between tables would make the dining experience even more comfortable. That said, this is a minor issue compared to everything the restaurant does so well. The food, drinks, service, and overall atmosphere keep us coming back, and we absolutely love the place. Rumi’s Kitchen continues to be one of our favorite dining spots, and we’ll definitely be returning.

One of the best Persian dining experiences I’ve had in the U.S. The restaurant was packed on a Wednesday night, and even as a table for one I waited about 30 minutes — a clear sign of how popular this place is, and it was absolutely worth it. I started with complimentary sabzi and sparkling water, served with fresh, warm bread that immediately set the tone. Then came the warm seasonal salad with dates, bright, balanced, and comforting. Next were the lamb ribs, tender and seasoned with bold spices and charcoal flavor — an excellent dish. My drink, the Maydan (named after the word for city square), arrived after the appetizers — a small timing issue that could be improved — but the drink itself was refreshing and unique. The highlight of the night was the lamb kabob with tahdig (crispy rice). The kabob was perfectly marinated, juicy, and kissed by charcoal in a way only true Persian grilling achieves. The tahdig had that golden, aromatic crunch that only comes from real technique and pride in the kitchen. What truly sets this place apart is the HOSPITALITY. The staff is warm, attentive, and genuinely cares about your experience. It feels like being in a restaurant in the Middle East — where you’re treated like a true guest, not just another customer. A restaurant with soul, flavor, and heart. I’ll definitely be back.

Rumi’s Kitchen was a great spot for a girls’ night. The restaurant is super nice and has a fun, lively vibe. We ordered the oyster hummus, green tomatoes, braised lamb for the entrée, and tiramisu for dessert, everything was pretty good. The service was also very friendly and welcoming. It is on the louder side, so maybe not the best for a quiet dinner, but it was ok for us. Drinks and food took a little while to come out, but honestly we didn’t mind since we were busy catching up. Just plan to spend a couple of hours here, it’s definitely more of a sit, relax, and enjoy the experience kind of place.
