There comes a point when you decide you’re officially tired of renting and ready to make that leap into homeownership. Baby… that decision alone will have your mind going in 50 different directions! From deciding what side of town you want to live on, choosing between a builder or a resale home, and figuring out what fits your family’s needs, every little thing matters. One thing I can honestly say is that having the right mortgage company/ broker makes ALL the difference, especially as a first-time homebuyer. You need someone patient, knowledgeable, and willing to guide you through the process without making you feel lost. Laura with Texas Top Mortgage did exactly that for me. Now listen… I asked SO many questions, I know she probably saw my name pop up and said, “Lord, here she comes again!” 😂 But not once did she make me feel like I was asking too much. She explained everything from top to bottom in a way I could understand, and that meant a lot to me. This process came at a difficult time in my life after losing my mother in February, so emotionally, I was already carrying a lot. But Laura stayed on me, checking in, keeping me updated, and making sure I stayed focused and on top of everything. Some days were smooth, and some days had me looking at those requests for “just one more document” like PLEASE be serious! 😂 But that’s all part of the process when you’re working toward YOUR HOME. In April, I officially closed on my home, and it was one of the happiest and proudest moments of my life. Walking into something that belonged to ME after all the hard work, stress, signatures, emails, and uploads was such an emotional feeling. I know my mom is looking down, smiling and proud because she knew how much this meant to me. I’m truly grateful for the experience and for the support I received from Texas Top Mortgage. Would I do it again? Absolutely. But next time, Laura already knows… I’m still coming with 100 more questions! 😂🏡
