My trusty old 2005 DR650 recently developed a hairline crack in the valve cover right by the extrusion for the upper engine mount. You could barely see the crack, but it spewed oil at a pretty good clip at highway speeds. I took the valve cover to Hal without much hope, thinking I would likely end up having to buy a new cylinder head. Hal came through for me with flying colors. It was a very tricky weld in a very tight spot in oil-contaminated cast aluminum, on a part where even the tiniest bit of warping would ruin it. In short, way beyond my feeble skills. Hal got it done. It’s a good as new. Heck, it’s probably stronger than new. If you’ve got a cast aluminum part that needs fixing, Hal is your man. He stands by his work and I recommend him highly.

Hal at Metalcraft Racing can get any bike squared away. He can make his own Custom parts for Custom bikes, rebuild any engine, frame, exhaust etc. He's one of the slickest welders you'll ever find. He can fix up any bike. He does excellent Sidecar work, too.

I was recommended to Hal at Metalcraft Racing by a friend because I have an older Harley Davidson with an Evolution engine that most shops won’t touch. Hal came highly recommended, and I now know why! His turnaround times are incredible. He doesn’t let your bike sit for weeks or days. He gets the job done fast and for a reasonable price. Hal has fabricated custom brackets for my fairing and saddlebags, repaired my transmission, and most recently diagnosed a no-start issue with my engine. He quickly recognized a problem with my ignition’s timing rotor and solved it the same day I brought the bike in. Thanks to him, my old Harley is still on the road. If you're considering any motorcycle project or repair, I highly recommend giving Hal a call!

Brought my project bike in for some help in completing the project. Hal did an awesome job on the work. When Hal is working on your bike you are the focus of attention, there is not a lot of incomplete work sitting around in his shop. This guy is phenomenal. Helped me finish up my foot clutch/ jockey shift conversion, reworked my brakes, and installed a centrifugal clutch pressure plate. Had the bike back within a week. It was worth every cent.
