1 Star – Extremely Disappointed I would never use All My Sons Moving & Storage again after my experience. I had already fully packed my entire one-bedroom apartment before the movers arrived. The only things they needed to do were take apart my bed frame and one desk and move my already packed boxes and furniture. Somehow I still ended up being charged nearly $950 total ($100 deposit plus over $850 moving charges) for what should have been a simple move. The movers texted me at 8:33 AM saying they were only 25 minutes away but did not arrive until around 9:15 AM after repeatedly passing my apartment complex and wasting time trying to reposition the truck. Once they finally arrived, more time was wasted before they even started moving anything. I was then billed until 1:15 PM even though paperwork was signed around 12:14 PM and the move was basically already complete except for bringing up my mattress. The timing on the paperwork and actual move do not add up. I was also charged for 3 full rolls of tape and extra packing materials even though I had already packed and taped my own boxes myself. Some boxes were even left untaped by the movers. One of the worst parts was discovering that one of the movers had gone through my personal drawers and belongings without permission. I intentionally placed personal paperwork and items in certain drawers and discovered everything disturbed after unpacking. On top of that, my mattress was damaged during the move and now has springs protruding from both sides that were not there before. To make matters worse, the company repeatedly tried to get me to sign settlement agreements for only $53, then $103, then $153 in exchange for releasing all claims against them and keeping the matter confidential. I refused because those amounts did not even come close to covering the disputed charges and damages. I also have a witness who was present during the move and observed the delays, handling of my belongings, and conduct of the movers. Very disappointing experience overall. I would strongly recommend taking photos, documenting everything, and reading all paperwork carefully if you choose to use this company. I’ve added pictures that show my already packed items and the others show that there is no brown tape on my boxes from this company! I also am showing the drawer that was ransacked by the older guy who made the younger guy move everything while he did absolutely nothing! And had the audacity to tell me he was working on his off day and tips are appreciated. Mind you this was a one bedroom apartment.🚨🚨🚨DONT USE THIS COMPANY THE MOVERS TELL CUSTOMERS TO USE OTHER STORAGE FACILITIES BECAUSE THIS COMPANY OVER CHARGES YOU! 🚨🚨🚨
All My Sons Moving & Storage — Recent Experience Having utilized All My Sons Moving on three occasions over the past two years, I can attest that my first two experiences were consistently positive — which is precisely why I continued to engage their services. For my most recent move, as a returning customer, I received a 10% discount on the standard rate of $165/hour for a two-person crew. Per the service agreement, a three-hour minimum applies, inclusive of one hour for transportation. Additional charges include a fuel surcharge of 25% of the total bill, as well as materials such as custom-packed boxes and shrink wrap. The final invoice for 4.5 hours of labor and transit, plus one wardrobe box ($50) and two TV boxes ($23 each), came to $989 — consistent with the scope and cost of my previous move. Where This Experience Fell Short Despite the comparable cost, the quality of service differed noticeably from prior engagements. A few specific concerns: Professionalism and Preparedness — The assigned crew members had four and six months of tenure with the company respectively. One arrived visibly fatigued, to the point where I felt compelled to offer coffee. They also arrived approximately 15 minutes beyond their stated arrival window. Efficiency and Conduct — One crew member was frequently distracted by off-topic commentary, which slowed the pace of the move. This raised concern about whether the delays were inadvertent or reflected an intent to extend billable hours. Improper Use of Packing Materials — Adhesive tape was applied directly to finished wood furniture and television sets, leaving visible residue upon removal. This was not an issue with any previous All My Sons crew. Incomplete Reassembly — My king-size bed frame was not properly reassembled; multiple headboard screws were left insufficiently tightened. Closing Remarks Whether I engage All My Sons Moving in the future will depend on how the company responds to these concerns. The Houston area offers a wide range of moving services, and while I had regarded All My Sons as among the better options, this experience has given me reason to reconsider. If you have had a satisfactory experience with a local moving company within the past six months, I would welcome your recommendation. Thank you.
I had to leave 1 star just so I could give my DO NOT RECOMMEND rating. When I say almost every piece of furniture I own was damaged in some way!! The 1 guy was great, but the other was struggling. They came in a rented truck without tools, instead of a company truck. This company charges for every little thing, which was not discussed at the time of booking with the agent. Then when I called to make a compliant, I was told corporate would call me back and they haven’t. Not to mention, I PAID $1125 and want a refund because this experience was unprofessional and unacceptable!!!
IF YOU WANT YOUR VALUABLES DESTROYED, BOOK WITH ALL MY SONS. Horrible experience when I moved with them. I relied in their expertise and tools to safely handle and transport my 400$ Tv which they broke and said nothing about and pressured me into giving them a tip. I filed a claim to receive a refund for the cost of my TV and was met with a 175$ settlement. When I reached out to them about a higher settlement, I was told the 175$ was a kindness and courtesy. I am unable to replace or repair my Tv with 175$ and I am now left with the burden of purchasing another 400$ Tv. Not everyone has the luxury of throwing $400 around. I work really hard for my purchases and I am beyond disappointed that one of them was destroyed by employees at All My Sons Moving. Had I known this would be the outcome, then I would have never worked with these guys.
Great experience and would definitely recommend Javante and his crew! They arrived promptly at 8:15 am and got to work right away after seeing what was all needing to be moved. They worked fast and efficiently while also handling my items with care. All items were wrapped and protected so I was not worried about anything getting scratched. The movers arrived with boxes, blankets and additional packing materials to help make the move easier. All three guys were great to work with, and I would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone I know that is moving. Being a female with not many extra hands in a new city, hiring a moving company was the best decision I made and these guys were great. Five stars all around!!
