My daughter was referred to Houston Eye Associates by her PCP. The staff here were very kind. Dr. Kathryn Musgrove was amazing!!! My daughter's eye exam went very smooth. Dr. Kathyrn Musgrove gives such grandmother vibes. That's not in a bad way, but in a loving, caring, and nurturing way. I don't know if she's only a pediatrician doctor or not, but if you have a child or children I recommend that you bring them here.
I have been coming to Houston Eye Associates for years. The service is amazing, and I appreciate the selection of glasses. This last visit was just as pleasant. My optician, Ruby Espinoza, was extremely patient with me as I selected my frames for this year. She sat with me as I looked over 3 or 4 pairs. Thank you so very much. Additionally, Dulce Martinez welcomed me with a smile and shared with me the process on that day. My wait was not long. Dulce encouraged me to look at frames until Ruby became available. Dulce was extremely personable. That is what I have grown to expect. She represented the company so well. I refer people to Houston Eye Associates because of their stellar customer focus and attention to detail. Thank you, Dulce and Ruby! Thanks for helping me better understand my VSP benefits. Until next year... peace! BLESSINGS!
Dr. Megan Law and her staff are amazing. My son had a spec of debris in his eye which she was successfully able to remove. This was no easy feat as he did not want to stay still. From the moment we walked in we were treated with kindness. Her staff was fantastic with my 4.5 year old. I highly recommend this amazing doctor.
I don't take leaving negative reviews lightly, but I feel it's important to share my experience so that other patients can make informed decisions. On May 6, 2026, I underwent a procedure with Dr. Gupta to remove a conjunctival nevus ("eye freckle"). I was told that the procedure would be successful and that the freckle would be removed, with the main uncertainty being whether all of the pigment would be addressed. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. After the procedure, I experienced significant redness, broken blood vessels, visible hemorrhaging, irritation, and a difficult recovery. For weeks, I was unable to comfortably wear contact lenses, use makeup, exercise normally, or go about my daily routine as expected after what had been presented as a relatively minor procedure. Despite the difficult recovery, the nevus itself remains largely unchanged, which has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. The procedure itself was also far more difficult and distressing than I had anticipated. What made the experience even more frustrating was the significant gap between the expectations that were set and the outcome I ultimately experienced. Had I known that I could endure such a difficult recovery period without meaningful improvement, I would have seriously reconsidered whether to proceed. I was also disappointed by what I believe was a lack of financial transparency during my care. During a separate visit, punctal plugs were recommended and inserted during the appointment. I agreed because they were presented as an in-office treatment option, but no one discussed any potential out-of-pocket costs beforehand, provided a cost estimate, or explained that I might later receive a bill for the procedure. No financial disclosure was provided before treatment, and I left the appointment believing it was simply part of my care plan. Learning afterward that additional charges had been submitted was both surprising and frustrating. Patients should be informed of potential financial responsibility before a procedure is performed so they can make a fully informed decision. I am not questioning anyone's intentions, but when it comes to medical procedures involving a patient's eyes, clear communication, realistic expectations, and transparency regarding both outcomes and costs are essential. My experience left me with a difficult recovery, disappointing results, unexpected expenses, and a great deal of frustration. I hope other patients will ask detailed questions about expected outcomes, recovery time, alternatives, and possible out-of-pocket costs before proceeding with treatment.
This visit and appointment was totally different than last year. Last year at the glasses department was totally unprofessional, and unethical. My Dr. Ebrahimi was super nice, courteous, and professional. Even last year, the exam department was no problem. Ms. Samantha was very, very professional, courteous, and patient with me and any questions I asked. My experience at the front, was so much better. Mr. Don, listened to my complaints from last year and he wasn't at all happy, once I told him how I was treated. Thank you sir, for your kindness, caring, professionalism, and concern. Ms. Brandi helped me with my selection of glasses. The most kind, caring, professional , and easy to communicate with. I was treated with Respect, Dignity, and Integrity. This visit was the best.....Thank you all so much, You made a difference. Happy Holidays, Happy New Year.
