There are so many great things to say about Shana Ross & her studio. Shana is very personable, as well as Mary Beth & the trainers AJ & April. They are ALL extremely knowledgeable, easy to understand & create specialized workouts for each session. I have been both impressed & inspired with their guidance during my workouts. I’m looking forward to seeing my progress under their watch & would recommend this place to anyone at any age!

I’ve been coming to SRF since August 22 for semi-private sessions. The pricing is very reasonable for the incredible quality of attention I receive from the team. You start with a full assessment and are matched with a trainer based on time and need. My trainer is AJ, and he is amazing at encouraging and empowering me in a kind and supportive manner. I am never super sore after, as he is big on being functional and using what you build in the sessions. The environment in the gym is amazing and exactly what u was looking for when I was afraid to start working out initially. I didn’t want a place with loud music or extremely fit influencers intimidating me, and the folks that go here are at all stages of progress and development. Everyone is friendly and I’ve made some great gym buddies. Everyone will know your name and accept you right away. I’d never worked out at all before I started, and I now feel comfortable to do anything I’d like, but really value and prefer having a trainer who is making sure I have proper form and am leveling up in a sustainable way. The other trainers are also awesome, and I’ve had April as my trainer when I’ve had to change my schedule sometimes. She’s super friendly and encouraging: she makes me feel like I’m capable of anything! The ownership team of Shana and Mary Beth are the real deal and very committed to helping people say functional and healthy into their 80s and beyond. I am really inspired when I go work out, and I deeply value my time in the gym with everyone.

What a great first experience here. I started with semi-private setting session. Workout explained to me very carefully and working on posture and form is so important to me as I work on my feet all day. First the consultation and assessment was so informing. Shana knows how to break it down to what our body is doing. The team is great and with Covid protocols being followed I feel so safe! April made me feel encouraged and capable. Ready for more!

This gym and group of fitness professionals are the best I have seen. They understand the specific needs and physical limitations of their clients and create programs and workouts to help them achieve health based fitness goals. They assist with helping people understand the critical nature of nutrition and its role in maintaining and achieving your goals. The workouts they create are not cookie cutter workouts and are effective. My trainer April is awesome and has a good sense of humor!

After searching for a gym and personal trainer that wasn’t like the normal, generic gym where you often felt like a number or having to deal with people staring and competing; Shana Ross’s website popped up in my Google search and it was near my area. Even though her website was a bit old school, I read every word and was moved by her story. I decided to check it out and I signed up for personal training. To be frank, I wasn’t a big fan at first, working from home over these past 2 years and being less active wasn’t doing my body any favors and it was really hard in the beginning. But I stuck with it (and sticking with it) and I’m so grateful I did! I couldn’t hold a plank for 5 seconds, now I’m holding it at 30 seconds. I couldn’t do 10 pounds on the machine, and now I’m doing 80 pounds. Mary Beth is my trainer and I’m so very grateful that I get the honor of working out with her. She gets me, and can read my mind. She can tell when I’m talking negatively to myself and addresses it. If I bring up an issue like the time I told her that I had a charlie horse that woke me up in the middle of the night in my calf. She gave me (a natural, non-medicated) solution that instantly helped. She has taught me the power of breathing and corrects my positioning (and I don’t care how many YouTube workout videos you do— no one can give you feedback or make sure you’re doing it properly). She also knows when I’m cheating myself like when I don’t squat all the way, she addresses it with firmness and kindness. Also, the gym environment is warm and friendly and you can tell the other trainers love their job, and the other clients love them too. It’s really the best and it’s an investment that I’m so glad I made in myself. Highly recommend if you need support in your fitness & wellness journey!
