This is not an authentic Peruvian eatery. It’s a good option for a fast meal that isn’t a burger and fries. The price is reasonable but the food is good but not great. The French fries were served as a side to the pollo saltado and not mixed in at the end like typical saltado dishes. In addition, there wasn’t any aji available - a big omission at a Peruvian restaurant. Will likely eat here again in a pinch but will not be my go to for Peruvian. Service: no one at the stand when I ordered and I waited 10 mins before the cook appeared. Didn’t acknowledge me or say a word after I retrieved my order. The setting at the Conservatory is lively and will entice me to return and and sample a different eatery.
I was working from here since the morning and got some Peruvian ceviche on the way out. 11/10!!! My favorite ceviche in Houston so far. The fish is fresh and the pieces are big. The staff was also really helpful!
Simply delicious! One of the best ceviches by far in Houston. The experience of eating there was like being in Lima, location and atmosphere reminded me of Mercado 28 in Miraflores. The portions were very generous, authentic and filling. We ordered a Mixed Ceviche, the seafood was fresh, Lomo Saltado and Seafood Chaufa (fried rice). The smokey flavor of the Lomo and Chaufa was on point. The courteous service was an added plus. Will definitely be making this one of our regulars spots for Peruvian cravings.
I love this place! Whenever I come to The Conservatory, I always get ceviche! They have a handful of options but “The Clásico” is the best. Service is always friendly and quick. Since they are located inside the food hall, there are many seating options. I like their bar seating facing the street and letting the light in. I will always come back!
Food is over all good and the atmosphere is fun. Was a bit too salty for me.
