I happened to stumble upon this place because I was next door at Walgreens picking up medicine for the flu and was looking for some authentic soup to take home. I hesitated ordering the Chupe de Camarones because of the price, but I'm so glad I did. My oh my…it was absolutely delicious! Rich, flavorful, and exactly what I needed. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes.
I really liked the Yuca and my wife really liked her plate - lomo saltado, onions, rice and beans cooked together with plantains (but it was pricey). The chicken was fine.
The food had great flavor; however, it wasn’t worth the price. I ordered a 1/4 roasted chicken, but it looked more like a quail—it was incredibly small, just a tiny thigh and leg, served with Chaufa rice and a glass of chicha. I didn’t even order a specialty dish, yet the total came to $30. The restaurant itself is small, with limited seating. The service was good—nothing extraordinary, but acceptable. I did feel that unless you’re part of their culture, the warmth isn’t quite the same. That said, the food itself was good.
Excellent Lomo saltado and Pollo saltado. Will definitely return. Tender meat, and fast to go service. Was a little pricey, but worth every penny, especially on a weekend night.
I loved the atmosphere, the food was delicious, and there was a good amount of flavor. I would have liked it to be a little on the spicy side but even without that, I still ate it all. Great service. I ordered the bistec a lo pobre. I don't know what my friend ordered, we both enjoyed our meal.
