Pros: super flavorful food, interesting menu, great for seafood lovers, great service, relaxing ambiance Cons: not much parking Authentic Peruvian! The food was soooo delicious! So flavorful! I'm not sure what my favorite dish is, because it's all so good! The yuca frita are simple yet delicious, and the sauce it comes with is lovely. Their purple corn juice is delicious and refreshing. Their seafood soup (Parihuela) is so different from any other kind of seafood soup you'll ever have (in a good way). The Pescado a la Menier is super lemony and brings out the best flavors of the fish. If they're serving passion fruit dessert, it's sweet, sour, and REALLY INTENSE--fantastic if you love passion fruit! Service was great and it was nice to see a place with so many regulars. I highly recommend this place!
This is my second time coming to The Lemon Tree because I decided to come back after such a great first experience. The first time, I was invited to celebrate a birthday, and everything was delicious. The atmosphere was so warm and enjoyable that I knew I wanted to return. This time, I came simply because I was craving their food, and it was just as amazing as I remembered. Great food, great service, and a wonderful atmosphere. I’ll definitely keep coming back! 💛
This place is like a hidden gem!! Tucked away in a little strip center you wouldn't expect. We were greeted immediately upon entering and were able to sit where we liked. The space is small but welcoming. We ordered the Tiradito 3 Sabores Ceviche as it was recommended and it did not disappoint! The flavors and citrus mixed with the fish was sooo good! It came with some Peruvian corn and sweet potatoes. For our entrees we had the Aji de Gallina and the Lomo a la Pimienta. Both were amazing! The Gallina has this Peruvian Yellow pepper in it but it did not overpower the dish. The beef in the Lomo was so perfectly cooked and tender! The creamy pepper sauce that comes with it is exquisite! I can't say enough how good this food was. The person who greeted us was super friendly and recommended some awesome food. I will definitely be going back here!! If you're looking for some authentic Peruvian food, you MUST try this place. You wont be disappointed!
It's a small restaurant that might look more like a house, so the atmosphere is cozy and the food is very good. I tried a plate of assorted ceviches and it was delicious, as were the fresh juices. I recommend it for an authentic Peruvian food experience, without expecting anything too fancy; it's like eating at your grandmother's house while chatting for a while.
Great ceviche, honestly the best I’ve had in Houston. Super fresh, full of flavor, and the service was fast and friendly. Definitely coming back
