I was referred to Pearlin at Saburi Physical Therapy after experiencing severe hip pain. From my very first visit, I knew I was in good hands. Pearlin is the first physical therapist I’ve met who schedules private, one-on-one sessions that last a full hour. She is extremely knowledgeable and took the time to carefully review my doctor’s notes and thoroughly assess my condition before creating a personalized treatment plan. What stood out immediately was her attention to detail and professionalism. Unlike many other physical therapy practices where therapists juggle multiple patients at once, Pearlin focuses entirely on one person during each session. This individualized attention made a huge difference in my progress. Each session included a combination of stretching, targeted exercises, and treatments such as the TENS machine—all tailored to my specific needs. Within just a few sessions, my pain had noticeably decreased. I continue to see Pearlin for ongoing strength training, balance exercises, and resistance work. She always ensures that I’m comfortable and never in pain during exercises, adjusting the program as needed to match my progress. Pearlin is a dedicated, compassionate, and highly skilled therapist who truly cares about her patients’ recovery. I highly recommend Pearlin at Saburi Physical Therapy to anyone seeking effective, personalized, and professional care.

I cannot recommend Perlin highly enough! She is a truly outstanding physical therapist and an absolute joy to work with. Every session is a positive experience because she is so kind and patient, always taking the time to listen and explain things clearly. As an independent therapist, her approach is incredibly personalized. Her techniques are unique and far more in-depth—a clear step above the standardized treatments. If you’re looking for a therapist who is both deeply knowledgeable and wonderfully supportive, Perlin is the one.

Saburi Physical Therapy is a superb, locally owned practice offering personalized and professional therapy. Convenient and accessible, it is easy to get to and offers a refreshing alternative to big chain practices, and is welcoming and attentive. The therapy was focused and tailored to address my problem, and offered guidance for continued exercises and good practice to avoid recurrent problems. They sorted my shoulder problem out and made it possible to get back in the pool and swim laps. I am forever grateful!

At age 72, two events necessitated my starting physical therapy: a diagnosis of mild scoliosis and major foot surgery, both of which greatly impacted my balance. I mentioned this to a friend, who raved about his therapist, Pearlin Akula at Saburi PT. Pearlin is the consummate health care practitioner, someone who can—just by watching you walk or perform a simple exercise—tell what is happening with your body. Whether I am doing a simple side leg lift or a complicated squat, Pearlin can tell me exactly what I’m doing wrong—even though when I look in the mirror I see a perfect leg lift or squat! This is incredibly important because when something is wrong with our body, our body compensates by using the wrong muscles, and it is only by doing appropriate exercises, done properly, that we can strengthen the correct muscles to return our body to harmony and balance. In addition to Pearlin‘s comprehensive knowledge, she is an excellent and patient teacher. This is crucial since once I leave her care, I need to know how to do the exercises correctly. Last, and certainly not least, because Pearlin is a solo practitioner when you are with her, you get her undivided attention. If you require PT, I highly recommend working with Pearlin. I’m truly amazed at how much better my balance has become, and how much easier it is for me to perform both simple and complex exercises, since I began PT with Pearlin.
