Been a member for three months now, and overall it’s a great place to play pickleball. I’ve played at several locations around Houston, and Rallies really stands out for its court quality and the amount of space available. Just a small suggestion for the owner, if they’re reading this: having one or two large clocks placed around the facility would help players keep an eye on the time.

The facilities are excellent, which is why it’s disappointing that the customer service doesn’t meet the same standard. In my experience, the owner and staff struggled to handle concerns professionally and were unwilling to acknowledge when they were mistaken. Even when the tournament rules clearly supported my position, they appeared to favor their own members rather than applying the rules consistently and impartially. Another concern was the professionalism of the live-stream production. During matches, the camera operator made negative comments about players while the event was being broadcast to spectators and family members. This was inappropriate and reflected poorly on the organization. Running a competitive venue requires not only great facilities but also fair, unbiased decision-making and professional conduct from everyone representing the business. Unfortunately, my experience fell short in those areas. There are several other nearby venues that offer competitive pickleball along with a more professional and customer-focused experience.

This review reflects the new management, and not the facility itself (which is great btw). Used to love coming here, the facility itself is great. However, ever since the change of management, everything the community has built over the past year is progressively being gutted which is unfortunate. Admittedly, I can understand needing to change the membership prices and structure due to business needs and the necessity to build a sustainable business model, but perhaps there are ways to do it without making existing members feel like they keep losing their existing amenities week after week. For example, there has always been an overbooking problem with court reservations, even the members acknowledge it. But rather than limiting the time slots or number of courts, or perhaps even reducing the number of active reservations a member can have active in a given week, the solution was to either have all players on court be deducted of their allocated weekly hours or pay an additional fee per hour to play on a reserved court. This has affected the community in many ways, now members are less inclined to play on reserved courts even if it is just to hop in for 1 game. Despite member feedback, management has turned down the opportunity to make any compromises on this particular policy. It is unfortunate that now many members are reconsidering whether they are going to renew their memberships or not. With all the changes and frustrations that have taken place with the new management, the community we all worked hard to build over the past year is at risk of being split apart.

I’m not one to write reviews, but I’ve never experienced such horrible customer service as I did with Cece, the lady at the front desk. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. She failed to explain the difference between an open play and a reservation, she only gave us the option to reserve. We didn’t seem to be the only ones having problems with her either, other people overheard our conversation and also agreed that she was rude. This place is 7 minutes away from my house and I would have loved to potentially have a membership here, but the thought of having Cece at the front desk makes me not even want to come back. The rest of the staff seems to be very friendly!
