Awesome community center! It has STEM programs for kids, dungeons and dragons Saturday's for all ages, pickleball, drones, Lego robotics, 3D printing activities just to name a few. AND...it's all FREE. Can't beat that!
Great safe park for adults, dog walkers, and children's activities. Typically a security guard is present after dark, however the park is usually well lit. Water fountains are available, a track for walking, ample parking in a nice neighborhood. I definitely recommend this park
Nice park to walk dog on a lease or walk/jog.They are doing renovations since the Harris county took over from the city. Starting to look good. Playground and soccer playground.
I was here to meet with City Council representative Amy Peck. The park manager stepped out to greet me, see if I needed assistance. He did not merely direct me to Ms. Peck's office, he WALKED me to it.
That building has been there forever and it stands out a bit with its unique building structure shaped like a Quonset hut. Of all the times I'd been to Freed park during my childhood, I don't know if I'd ever been inside there. I would bet this building has been there since likely the late 1960s or early 1970s.
