Excellent restaurant combined with outstanding attention. Olga hosted our visit. She exceeded our expectations. The restaurant has the best italian food offering a large variety of wines, Italian dishes, delicious pizza and tasty desserts.Thank you so much Russos restaurant you have the best team!
Our server Olga was fantastic, which made our first experience here memorable. She was very attentive, and her recommendations were spot on. The NY village pizza was delicious, and was the supreme of all pizzas. She recommend the lunch special of a slice of pizza, salad and a drink. Well worth every bit of the price.
Olga was an amazing, attentive, and kind server. (She mostly works mornings and early afternoon) They have a lovely little patio behind the location, which has a large fountain. Despite it being June, the mosquitoes did not bother me at all, and the sound we lovely to relax to after a difficult morning. Sitting at one of the umbrella tables, Olga took my order, (salad, slice, and Alfredo sauce for dipping) - and was able to catch up on emails while I waited. The food came quickly, first salad- a well dressed cesar, then about 8 minutes later, the pizza and sauce. This pace was perfect, as I had nearly finished with my salad as the slice arrived, and was able to finish my last bites as I allowed the pizza to cool. The New York slice was delicious as well, the sauce sweet from actually ripe tomatoes, and not just sugar. The cheese and pepperoni were clearly high quality from the relative lack of oil on the surface of the slice, and the Alfredo was delicate, and not too heavy for the crust to absorb. The crust itself was thin, but not cracker-like, with a fluffy texture that was an enjoyable bite, every bite. The sky opened up as I was nearly finished (Texas weather, I should have known) but I had managed to sit in the singular dry spot, comparative to the direction of the rain. Moving myself inside, the indoor atmosphere is soothing as well, when sparsely occupied. Olga was attentive, offering me some space at the bar, and letting me wait out my parking time before returning to the chaos outside.
Had a wonderful time with the family, my daughter’s graduation dinner was great she craved pizza so made it happen. As always the pizza on point and waiting staff were very helpful and accommodating. Thank you for the hospitality and hopefully see you soon 🙏
This was my first time at Russo’s, and originally I was only planning to grab a smoothie bowl and head back to my car. At the last minute, I decided to stay and actually try the food, and I’m so glad I did. Lauro greeted me with a genuine smile and such kind words from the moment I walked in. He didn’t know this, but I’ve been going through a very painful breakup, and his kindness and generosity truly brightened my day more than he could have imagined. He recommended the carbonara, and it was absolutely delicious! Throughout my visit, he was attentive, thoughtful, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure I had a great experience. I’m a new resident of Houston after moving here from California, and I live only about five minutes away. I can honestly say Russo’s is going to become one of my regular spots. Thank you, Lauro, for reminding me that small acts of kindness can make a big difference. I can’t wait to come back!
