Gypsy Poet remains one of my favorite pizza spots. The atmosphere has the unique character the brand is known for—relaxed, welcoming, and full of personality. They also offer a great selection of beers and wines, and the staff always provides outstanding service. If you're visiting for the first time, I highly recommend the Fancy, Cinque Formaggi, and Big Hat pizzas. Each one has its own distinct flavor profile and perfectly represents what Gypsy Poet does best. That said, I still feel this location has never quite matched the quality of the original Austin Street location. On my most recent order, the hot honey was missing, and I also noticed that the cheese didn't seem to be the same quality as it used to be. These are small details, but they make a noticeable difference and are definitely areas that could be improved. I also think it's time for Gypsy Poet to introduce some new pizza creations. Houston's pizza scene has grown tremendously over the past few years, with many outstanding new pizzerias opening across the city. Maintaining quality is essential, but continuing to innovate with new flavors and seasonal specials would help keep Gypsy Poet at the forefront of Houston's pizza scene. Finally, I'd like to recognize their wonderful initiative of donating $1 from every pizza sold during the month of July to support those affected by the earthquake in Venezuela. It's a meaningful gesture that reflects a genuine commitment to giving back to the community. Despite these areas for improvement, Gypsy Poet is still a place I gladly recommend and one I'll continue coming back to.

My family and I visited on a Saturday evening. It was busy and active. We ordered 2 pizzas, a chopped salad, and for dessert the Nutella pizza. We were greeted by the owner who was very friendly and kind. We first sat at the counter area being that all the tables were full. He later cleaned and prepared us a table. I had a great time admiring their authentic Italian oven. Very family friendly and easy to order.

I love the pizza! My favorite in Houston so far! We tried the margarita and the dream catcher. Amazing. It is not heavy at all you can eat the whole pizza with no problem. Fully recommended!

Gypsy Poet was the latest date night stop for my partner and I and it did not disappoint. The pizza was amazing and some of the best we've had since our move to Houston. They don't do much other than pizza and salads. We tried the Sicilian Journe and while I would definitely try it again, every time a pepperoni pizza walked by us I craved one, the pepperoni looked so crispy. The crust on the pizza was excellent 👌🏽. I would highly recommend taking a seat at the bar if it is available. They have an open kitchen concept with a great view of the pizza oven, o enjoyed watching the pizza bake and the crew on the back working hard from preparing the dough, prepping the pizza and then the oven process. Parking lot is definitely small and can fill fast so plan ahead and be prepared to walk of needed. The staff was all great and genuinely looked happy to be there and enjoying their work. One pizza is enough for two people but I wish I had ordered two, they only have one size option.

We had a group of 5 and got there around 6:45 and thankfully we got parking and were able to walk in with no wait - so definitely get there early! the pizza was good, we got pepperoni, the dream catcher and the troublemaker and the caprese salad. the person taking our order recommended one pizza per person, but i think 3 for 5 people was perfect. the vibe was pretty casual and and their wine/drink selection.
