As the owner of a group psychology practice, I’m very thoughtful about where I refer clients. A referral reflects on my practice, so I only recommend clinicians and practices I genuinely trust. Houston Therapy is one of those practices. I’ve been consistently impressed by their thoughtful, evidence-based approach and the depth of expertise their team brings. They have particular strengths in adult ADHD, comprehensive psychological testing and diagnostic assessments, anxiety, relationship concerns, and men’s mental health. What also stands out is their commitment to matching clients with the clinician who is the best fit, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. It’s clear they value clinical excellence, collaboration, and providing high-quality, individualized care. I’m grateful to have Houston Therapy as a trusted referral partner and recommend them with complete confidence.
Amazing. Ive been blessed to have known Dr Katz for ages. Always a kind caring individual. Hearing he choose this profession was no surprise. Highly recommend.
Houston Therapy provides thoughtful, high-quality therapy for adults and teens dealing with anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and relationship concerns. Their team takes a structured, personalized approach and does a really nice job helping clients make sense of what’s going on and figure out how to move forward. They also offer an intensive outpatient program for individuals struggling with social anxiety, avoidance, and isolation, which is a great option for clients who need more support than weekly therapy
I have nothing but positive things to say about Houston Therapy! As the owner of another group practice, I am honored to refer to Dr. Katz’s team. They are so warm and professional and take good care of all of my referrals!
Wonderful place, but bad experience with a long time therapist here and the main office. In my experience, they are not flexible, not affordable, and clearly don’t keep track of their patients. My therapist was always forgetting information shared within our sessions, would be rather calloused if I tried to reschedule, and the main office would not get my pronouns or name right. The main portal has no way to reach your provider easily. My therapist would forget to give me her contact info and it was so hard to get a hold at first. Thankfully that changed, but I was blamed for the lack of communication. A few times, my therapist had to cancel last minute and I had to be flexible. Yet when I tried to cancel the day before, I was 20 something minutes too late. And I only had to cancel once due to my health and COVID. Talk about flexibility! I hope they learn from our interaction, since I was with this therapist for many years. And I hope the office can get their information together, it’s not that hard to get to know your client. Unless you can pay out of pocket or land with a sliding scale therapist, this is not an affordable or accessible place in my opinion. I was paying more than $170, and navigating insurance was a hassle with them.
