Probably the most amazing veggie sandwich I have ever had! The host was incredibly welcoming g and very sweet, he came in to check o n me and see how my food was
Stopped by Mendocino Farms this week and had one of the best service experiences I’ve had in Houston in a long time. I came in not long before closing, which can sometimes feel rushed at other places, but the staff here were still incredibly welcoming. A young lady named Ayisha helped me and she was an absolute gem. She recommended the Peruvian Steak sandwich and it was excellent. She was very attentive, which surprised me, and checked in with me a few times while I was eating to make sure everything tasted good and that I had everything I needed. The whole meal and service honestly made my entire day. You really don’t see that level of care in fast casual places much anymore. She even remembered my name before I left, which was a very nice personal touch. Everyone working there seemed kind, but Ayisha truly stood out. Mendocino Farms is lucky to have someone like her on their team. I’ll definitely be back.
I wasn’t sure whether to leave a review about my experience at Mendocino Farms this Tuesday afternoon, but the interaction was hard to forget. I came in around 2:45 for a remote meeting and a quick bite, and I specifically checked with the employee at the front before ordering since the restaurant closes at 3 PM. I was assured it was okay for me to stay and eat during my meeting. My food came out about 10 minutes later, but right at 3 PM another employee came over and told me I needed to leave because they were closed, before I’d even had the chance to unpack my food. I ended up continuing my meeting outside at the front tables. What made the situation disappointing was that every other employee I interacted with was extremely friendly. The issue was specifically with the employee who approached me at closing, her tone came across as rude and inconsiderate despite me already being given permission to stay. Better communication between staff would have prevented the confusion entirely. It’s unfortunate because the food itself was genuinely delicious, and I understand why people speak highly of Mendocino Farms. I just wish the service in that moment had reflected the same quality.
Service was amazing! I ordered the spiced curried couscous (it’s served cold) and the chicken pesto sandwich. It was my first time and it was really good! Feels fresher than Panera but still standard soup and sandwich place. Really loved the outdoor seating area!
Tried the Chimichurri Steak & Bacon for the first time and it was amazing. Order came out a little late, but Faith was working hard and apologized multiple times. You can tell she really cares. I’d definitely order it again.
