We came here for a birthday lunch! We had 14 people but the table only provided 10 seats and we couldn’t hold tables for the latecomers. It eventually got taken and we had to pull some chairs to squeeze. We would’ve preferred if there could’ve been better accommodation for that in the future for large parties. We ordered fresh and cooked oysters, both delicious. It had a great layout and the quality was very fresh. The octopus was also fun to try! I ordered the chefs selection of Rainbow trout and crab. It was a large portion and very delicious. No complaints, and the squash tasted wonderful! Others ordered poboys, the seafood pasta, etouffee, gumbo, and others which also all looked delicious! The food is great. Our service could have definitely been better though. We had to ask repeatedly for waters to be refilled, and when the rest of the party came, no new silverware or drinks were brought out originally. We also had a birthday, and asked for the free dessert which is great. However the server did not ask if we wanted it to go or there so she gave it to us takeout and we had wanted to sing there. Overall, the food quality and atmosphere was great! We would’ve just appreciated better service, but I understand it’s different from each employee. Highly recommend the blackened trout with jumbo crab.
I had the mango handcrafted lemonade stuffed crab, oysters, and their mashed potato puree. I realized my water cup had food stuck to the inside and was dirty after I drank most of it. This place gave me food poisoning! My nose, mouth, and bottom are constantly trying to get it out. Whole the service from Germany, Barry, Jalen were great and atmosphere is nice, I’m never eating here again because of the food! We went here around 4:00 pm, I finished the rest of my food around 8 pm. Starting having stomach pain and thought I just ate too much, but around 1 am I realized it was something more. At 1:45 am had use the bathroom a bunch and then started throwing up.Throwing up through nose is the wait experience, I’ve never done that before! I might call the health inspector tomorrow. Dinner was too expensive for it cause issues like this. It was $156.00
We had such a great experience at Pappadeaux. Our server, Morgan, was attentive without being overwhelming, checked on us at the perfect times, and made sure everything came out exactly how we wanted. The food arrived fresh, hot, and beautifully prepared. The seafood was flavorful and cooked perfectly, and the sides complemented the dish really well. You can tell they take pride not only in the quality of their food but also in how they treat their guests. Overall, the service made the experience memorable. Friendly, efficient, and genuinely hospitable. Definitely a place we’d come back to for both the food and the experience!🤍
We were sat immediately and taken to the far back. Table 6. Mya was our waitress and took 20 minutes before greeting us and taking our drink order. 7 minutes after that she had returned with our waters. Atmosphere was basic, not busy for a Thursday night. 15 minutes into sitting at the table I had approached the front desk asking for a menu so we could check out what to eat and was told my server would bring it. Asking who our server was she pointed to a direction but took no initiative to grab the server and explain they had a new table. After being served food which is shown in photos, (pretty good fish nothing to write home about, decent fried shrimp, good gumbo and mid gator tail) we had one water refill request. Server had mentioned she would come back with a water. 30 minutes later she came back asking what else we would like and we asked for that water. 5 minutes after she left, someone else brought the water. Asked for the ticket and even that took 15 minutes. The food being cooked was faster than anything Mya had done at our table all night. Been here multiple times, 5-10 at this very location, This visit by far was the worst experience we’ve had even comparing it to having Covid at Papasitos next door in 2020. If this was my only experience I would not recommend this location.
Visited Pappadeaux on 610 West and sat in the bar area. Our waitress, Monsi, was okay nothing particularly outstanding, but she handled things fine. The food overall was good, but the roasted oysters were overcooked, which was disappointing. That definitely took away from the experience a bit. Overall, it was an average visit—good food for the most part, but with some room for improvement.
