They’ll gladly advertise $1 move-ins and deeply discounted rates to get you through the door, but stay long enough and you’ll watch your rent climb over and over while new customers continue receiving the deals you no longer qualify for. Apparently, loyalty is something Public Storage believes should be penalized, not rewarded. The customer service is just as disappointing. If the office says it closes at 5:00 PM, don’t expect meaningful help after 4:00 PM. Posted business hours don’t seem to mean much when customers can’t actually get assistance during them. Then there’s the online reviews. It’s almost comical. Public Storage seems to have plenty of time to thank people for five-star reviews, yet many detailed complaints about pricing and customer service are left without any meaningful response. That tells you exactly where the company’s priorities are: acknowledging compliments instead of fixing problems. After years of being a paying customer, I’ve learned that Public Storage values attracting new business far more than keeping the customers who have already supported them. That’s a business model built on taking loyalty for granted. If you’re looking for a storage company, understand what you’re signing up for. The introductory price is the hook. The repeated rent increases are what come next.
This is my first time renting a storage unit and I’m so happy with this location. It’s clean, I feel secure either with leaving things in my unit and the process was quick and easy. Kiara was polite and efficient, which was made an already stressful moving day much easier. She answered all of the questions I asked patiently and even checked on me when I returned to the location. Great customer service!
Do not store your things here. They are not clear at all when they say they close at 6. When I moved in they locked me out, locked my movers in, they couldn’t get into the elevator. Once I got someone on the phone they were absolutely no help at all. I was forced to leave half of my things in my storage unit which was wide open and half of my things on the truck. Now it’s costing me twice as much because they did not communicate anything about this whatsoever. Terrible company
After checking in online for my unit at the W Gray Public Storage facility, I needed to stop by the office for a couple of questions. There, I met Dee Dee, the office manager who was most pleasant and who went out of her way to answer my questions and ensure everything went smoothly with my check-in… including refunding me for the unit lock I didn’t need since I’ve been a Public Storage customer before at many locations! High praise to Dee Dee for doing such a great job and for being such an asset to the Public Storage team!
I had to delete a prior review in order to update on how horribly maintained this facility is. I spent months last year arguing with this facility about the lack of air-conditioning, which I am paying for, and non-functioning elevators. Once again, the air-conditioning on our floor is not working, and the elevator is not working. I’m now having to come back through call history and emails to find the contacts at the regional divisional level to try and get some explanation.
