Ordered fish and shrimp $23.99+ tax $3.99 for peach cobbler ,the fish was really big the shrimp were small compared to the pictures and overcooked. The server at the front was super duper nice and sweet. Fish was too heavily seasoned! It was fried soft I had to bring it back and the forgot the peach cobbler which was absolutely disgusting may I add. It was about 3oz maybe, I should’ve stuck with cake. The macaroni was bland and mushy, it resembled store brand shells and cheese. The cabbage was decent. Overall I spent $30+ for great service and a canned sprite. Also the building smelled really bad like they were having a plumbing issue. Won’t be returning the food was stark contrast from the exceptional service that was provided by the woman upfront. Highly disappointed.
I ordered the wings and fries combo with the kool aid. The food was good. The service was even better. The lady taking the order was genuinely kind and answered all of my questions about the menu.
Came across this place as I was in the area and was looking for some to go soul food. I called in an order and the lady who took my order was extremely nice and explained everything to me. Upon arrival, it was close to closing time so I did stand there a bit with nobody at the counter even after ringing the bell but I was then met with a staff member and I checked out. The interaction overall was nice, nothing too bad nothing too good. The reason for my lower review is because of the food. I got the Salisbury steak with Mac and cheese and green beans, along with the ribs, fried porkchop and a side of greens and rice and gravy. The Salisbury steak was good overall, but the rice was a bit on the tougher side so I wasn’t a big fan of it. The sides tasted subpar, as they tasted canned. The food was nearly $60. I wouldn’t necessarily call it the “best”
I appreciate everything you guys prepared for me & you can watch my full ' Best Soul Food In Town ' Food Review ' on all platforms @Earlqashia 😋🍽
I don’t remember the name of the dish that I got. But for the price it was not worth it. And it only had four tiny shrimps in it. The taste was not good to me.
