The food was amazing! The smothered pork chops were delicious and tender. Cameron was very helpful and HONEST about every entree. Which was very helpful when choosing my meal.( I love an honest QUEEN! lol ) Overall the atmosphere and customer service was on point. Everyone was friendly and a pleasure to meet. I will definitely be back again.
Tried Oxtails for the first time - very delicious. We also got catfish fillets, which were on point. Will definitely come back to try more entrees next time we are in the area. The dinning hall is sufficient, just generic.
It was just okay to me. Wife loved the fried fish, brown gravy and collard greens. Staff stated that all greens were cooked with turkey meat, plus 1 in my book for that. The music Playlist was perfect. I really like the taste of the fried chicken, but the smothered chicken was dry and unseasoned. I'd give them another try eventually, especially for the fried chicken.
ARE YOU KIDDING Me? Best soul food ever!! Brought my 85 y/o mother and she was humming as she ate! Smothered Pork chops are tender, sweet potatoes, had to slap my mom they were so good!! staff was polite and helpful! You must try the food, great price and servings are large! They are on Door Dash as well!!
A friend of mine convinced me to come to this restaurant. I have never been there before and I’m not quite the target audience for soul food, lol. My friend and one of the workers there however, can convinced me that the target audience for soul food is people with money who like good food! Boy where they right!! my friend insisted that I have the oxtails as my entrée and then I was able to choose three sides to go with that. I had Black Eyed Peas because I love Black Eyed Peas. White rice with brown gravy. Candied yams. Two cornbread muffins. And sweet tea. Holy moly! I was in hog heaven. This is literally the best restaurant I’ve eaten that in a long, long time. In all fairness oxtail was the only thing that was new to me. I was raised in Texas, and all the other elements of my meal were common to my upbringing. But here’s the thing, it’s not just that it’s food that I recognized. It is food that I recognized that tasted amazing. The oxtail was amazing. If you want to get it, be prepared to spend for it. I think it’s the most expensive thing on the menu. But holy hand grenades it’s worth the money. Honestly, do yourself a favor and visit the restaurant and have the oxtails. They also had smothered pork chops, fried catfish, fried chicken, and barbecued ribs. I took pictures of all the food that was available the night that I visited, so scroll through the photos to see what entrées and sides were available. Honestly, I’ll be back. It was 10 out of 10 on every single individual item I had. So a big shout out to my friend for insisting I come and have the oxtail, and for this amazing restaurant and their amazing cooking and staff.
