Me and wife decided to try this place out. Fabian was our waiter. He was cool. We Walked right in and was seated. I have 3 complaints. We ordered the salmon eggrolls for our appetizer(1 out of 5). We received this 10min after our entree came out. Our entree was catfish and grits and oxtails and grits. Catfish was good, grits was bottom tier grits. Wife only got 3 small oxtails on her plate. The forks was really dirty, ask for a new set they just gave us plastic forks. That’s a tell tale sign of how they clean in the back. Music and vibe was cool but food not that great.

RUN! Don’t walk! The food was phenomenal, literally chefs kiss 🤌🏾. The salmon Alfredo egg rolls, bussin! My man had the jerk shrimp tacos and that “special sauce” 🤏🏾 . My salmon fried rice bowl was fire 🔥, it has a whole piece of salmon. Portion size was perfect! The candied yams taste like Big Mama made em! I also had the cosmo during happy hour, which was my first time tryin it and it was delicious! They also offer hookah! Whenever we come back to HTX, we’re def coming back here! The music was on point the whole visit, too! Last but not least, our server Ji was super sweet, cute, and knowledgeable about the menu. She recommended everything! Thank you Ji, we will definitely be back!

Khalil and Fabion was our server and gave us the best experience! I had a great experience! The prices matched the generous portions, so I definitely felt like I got my money’s worth. I ordered the Thanksgiving rolls, greens, shrimp fried rice, and pork chops, and everything was flavorful, fresh, and cooked just right. The pork chops were tender, the greens were well-seasoned, and the shrimp fried rice was packed with flavor. I’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu!

⭐☆☆☆☆ 1 Star Review Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was very disappointing. It took over an hour for our food to arrive, and when it finally came, it was not worth the wait. The food was extremely salty and over-seasoned. My daughter’s pasta looked nothing like what was advertised, which was very disappointing. To make matters worse, after we placed our order, we were informed that several menu items we wanted—including the turkey wings and jerk chicken—were unavailable. While the employee who delivered that news was courteous and professional, our waitress provided poor customer service throughout the visit. Parking was also an issue, as there is very limited parking available and guests are charged to park because of the location. The music was excessively loud, making it difficult to enjoy a meal or have a conversation. Overall, between the long wait time, unavailable menu items, poor service, parking issues, and disappointing food quality, this was not a pleasant dining experience. I would not return to this location and would not recommend it to others.

What drew me to Jordyn’s Soul Cafe was a food review featuring their famous oxtails and mac & cheese and let me tell you, it was worth it. The Three Pot Roast Empanadas were so filling and flavorful I wanted more. But, I needed to save room for the full course. Instead of ordering the Oxtails and Mac & Cheese, because even though I wanted it, who needs all that cheese right now, lol, I ordered the Oxtails entree and added a side of Collard Greens and Candied Yams and that did it for me. However, I was a little disappointed that the oxtails and the crab meat in the fried rice were salty. Such a shame. The atmosphere was booming in the best way. Good R&B playing while everyone eats, drinks, and vibes. They also offer Hookah, but only in a certain section of the restaurant. So if you want the full experience, definitely make a reservation. Parking is valet only from what I can see and it’s $10, but it seems the most convenient option for the area.
