Smothered pork chops were just falling off of the bone the Kool-Aid was mixed to Perfection. The service was outstanding. The green beans were seasoned to Perfection unlike some places that just open up the can warm them up and serve them. I also left with chocolate cake and smothered next to devour later. Of course the yams were on point.
They are so kind and food is perfectly priced. Not expensive at all. Got beef tips and an extra side with two drinks and spent $28, before drinks it was $20. Food was fresh and delicious. Wonderful welcoming atmosphere. I’ll be making time to come by every time I fly in or out. 10000/10
The people were very nice had some good drinks. I got the oxtails and the pig feet everything was pretty decent the oxtails wasn't all that I was not a fan of the oxtails would I go back yes I would recommend it. everybody pallet is different you might love the oxtails I'm from New York they didn't season it the way that I'm used to have oxtails I wasn't a fan of the flavor for all in all the sides was good the pig feet was good the drinks was good the people were very nice and friendly check this restaurant out
Best fried catfish I’ve ever had! I also got the smothered pork chops, mac and cheese and yams, best in the city! Definitely my new soul food joint!
I dined in with my family of six. The food was good. The atmosphere was okay and the staff we interacted with was nice. Within 3 minutes after everybody got their order, I went back to the counter to place an order for fried shrimp; fried foods are cooked fresh and other items are already prepared. It took way too long for my shrimp order to be ready, over 30 minutes, and it doesn't take a long time to fry some shrimp especially after all of the other dine in and to-go orders received their food, even the to-go orders that came & went while we were eating. It took so long that we all were convinced they forgot to make them. When we asked for an update, the staff member said they're about to come up and I still didn't receive them until over 10 minutes after that. Mind you, the shrimp was ordered within 3 minutes of us sitting down to eat, and everyone was done eating their food and the shrimp still wasn't done. And for that I gave one star for service because they were nice and smiled, but never [at least] apologized for taking so long, or offered an explanation.
