If you are looking for something to eat to feed your family, I definitely recommend it. Not a bad spot. All I can say is it was aight, nothing to rave about. The smothered pork chops are average and thin for my preference. Mac and cheese was macking. The greens didn’t pick up the broth flavor. Thank you for cooking. I appreciate it. Location is not the greatest, next to a sketchy gas station. Parking not the greatest either.

It’s the first time I tried this place and let me tell you, it is DELICIOUS!!! Ordered some oxtails with green beans and Mac and cheese ( they didn’t have mashed potatoes) along with some cornbread. The lady that served me was friendly and the plate was well served. One plate for myself, was shared and had some leftover. It is a little pricey but it was a lot of food and very tasty! I really enjoyed it especially that sweet cornbread. ( The picture is after I had already ate and shared, this is my leftovers)

I’ve heard so many great things about this place. So I decided to give it a try. So let’s recap. Upon entering the staff and the young lady at the front was exceptionally polite and helpful, she helped me navigate through the offerings and ordering process. Must have been a slow day, the cook was sitting in the dining room. Now the food. I ordered the wing dinner, with Mac & cheese and greens. With an additional side of fries. I’m always Leary about ordering friend chicken from an establishment that also serves fried fish; I put my trust in that the restaurant wouldn’t dare fry my chicken in the same grease as they would fry fish. My fried chicken tasted like fried fish. Batter on the chicken was crunchy, but mostly salty. Greens were extremely salty, very one toned and no woe factor to them at all. Mac& cheese was the spray part of the experience, seeing how it tasted bland and like it had been sitting in a hotel pan Bain-Marie cause it gave off that flavor of the smell you get when there’s no water in the steam well. Definitely think it’s room to improve.

Loved the cornbread and Mac n cheese. Wish a fried pork chop could’ve been an option. The smothered pork chop was okay — I didn’t care for the gravy or rice. There was also no dessert available. I expected more. It was decent overall. 🥄

I was really looking forward to returning after a few years, but unfortunately, I was let down this time. The green beans were overly spicy which some of them were aldente and the mac and cheese, which used to be fantastic, didn’t live up to expectations. I considered other sides, but they didn’t look appealing. That said, the staff was truly amazing—so kind and attentive. I just hope the food quality can return to what it once was.
