Birthday spa day thanks to my amazing friends!!! Thompson Spa was EVERYTHING and more! This was a well needed wellness treat that allowed me to escape the demands of the world… Upon arrival we were provided robes and shoes to change into. The dressing room was clean, calm, and instantly put us in relaxation mode. We then entered the wellness room to relax prior to our massage. Complementary teas and light snacks were also provided. Our massage therapists entered the wellness room and escorted us to our massage rooms. One of the best massages I’ve ever had! From the dimly lit room, warming bed with crisp sheets, the inhaled lavender aromas, to the gentle but firm muscle compresses, I was at peace… After the massage we utilized the sauna for a final moment of escape… Great experience! Highly recommend!
If I could give this space 10 stars, I would. I’ve been wanting a massage for years but finally booked one this year as a birthday treat to myself. The customer service was amazing from beginning to end. I asked for a female/woman massage therapist & received a call confirming that I would be able to have one. Valet was complementary and their customer service was exceptional. They let me know which floor the spa was on as I’ve never been to the hotel. Nicole who did my massage was superb! The spa is equipped with a sauna, they had items you can purchase, locker rooms to store your items with a code to open and close. The grounding room was very modern and nicely decorated. There was water (cold and room temperature), teas, snacks, you name it. After I was done with my massage, I went to the pool. The spa provides a pool pass until 5 pm for its guest. There was plenty of seating and lucky for me, it wasn’t a busy day. The area was very clean and absolutely stunning. Overall, I really enjoyed the Thompson Spa and would definitely recommend. It was worth the amount of money I spent. I hope to return soon.
My experience at the Thompson Houston Spa was absolutely immaculate from beginning to end. Every detail felt elevated, relaxing, and thoughtfully curated. The perfect way to celebrate a pre-birthday moment. ❤️ A special thank you to Parker, who greeted me downstairs at the Thompson with such warmth and a genuine smile, instantly setting the tone for a beautiful experience. Ramona and Aiyanna made the front desk experience seamless, welcoming, and personal, taking the time to show me around and ensure I felt comfortable from the start. And Nicole, my masseuse, truly exceeded expectations. She listened carefully to my needs, tailored the experience perfectly, and delivered one of the best massages I’ve had. Next time, I’ll definitely be booking at least 90 minutes! Thank you to the entire team for making this experience so memorable. I’ll absolutely be back.
My husband and I had a couples session with Nicole and GiGi and they were AMAZING! Nicole was so patient with me and made sure to explain everything to me. She even had a good sense of humor. My husband said that GiGi was amazing as well and I believe him, because halfway through the session, I heard him snoring so I know she helped him to relax. Would definitely recommend!
I had the pleasure of doing a spa date here with my eldest cousin, and we both left floating on a cloud. We each had the CBD massage, and it was everything—deeply relaxing, beautifully executed, and soul-soothing. While the locker room is on the smaller side (two showers, a dry sauna), the rest of the space more than makes up for it. The grounding room was the real star—spacious, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed with a stunning terrace where you can sip tea, feel the breeze, and take in the city skyline. And let me tell you, we fell in love with their hibiscus-infused sugar cubes for tea. Little touches like that really set this place apart. The entire staff was warm, kind, and attentive. Our massage therapists were incredible. But what truly blew me away—and why I had to write this review—was what happened afterward. In my rush to check into my hotel for the weekend, I accidentally left my spa sandals in the locker room and walked out wearing the spa’s slippers. When I realized what I’d done, I called the spa in a panic. Megan, the spa director, not only located my expensive sandals—but she personally got in her car and drove them to me at The Post Oak Hotel. She refused a tip. She wouldn’t even take money for gas. She just said she wanted to make sure I was taken care of. That level of customer service? Unmatched. Because of Megan, I’ll be booking the Thompson Hotel on my next trip to Houston. Highly, highly recommend.
