The fine steak dining the way it should be done. All the food tastes excellent. I had the 6oz fillet with exotic mushrooms and Cognac peppercorn sauce. Ruby our waitress was attentive and quick with our orders. Make sure you order an extra carrot cake to take home.
The beet salad was refreshing i just wanted to try a different type of salad, would like to try the wedge salad next time, the crab cake was very good with large chunks of crab meat, the breading wasn't too heavy, the carrot cake was just okay, it was a large 3x3 inch slab but it wasxa little dry not moist like I expect from a fine dining steak house.
The bayou ponchatrain was good but the sea bass was cold when it came out, macaroni(not pictured) was pretty much tasteless and the cheese sauce was grainy. Service was not the best as it was just me and my wife and our server seemed to be too interest in her group of 7 and group of 5 over us. I will say the water guy was on top of his job though didn’t get thirsty all night long I have been to Brenners steakhouse on the bayou and would recommend that location over this one will not be coming back

Went here for an Anniversary, we had a reservation at 7:30pm on wednesday. we arrived a few minutes early so we sat at the bar to have a drink while we waited for them to have our table ready "It will just be a few minutes" a few minutes later its 7:40 still no table. Manager comes over and tells us "just a few more minutes". The host tells us again "just a few more minutes". It is 8:00pm at this point, still no table. We left without eating and a disappointing experience overall. The manager called to offer us a "free appetizer" which felt like a joke since we were already in the car. They sat multiple parties even though they claimed they were waiting on tables to leave. They claimed a big party had come in and that was caused the delay. What is the reservation for if not to guarantee a table?! I expect this experience from chilis but I had higher hopes for brenners.
