Visited Pappas Bros. Steakhouse while in Houston. The beautiful outdoor entrance sets the tone, while the dining room carries a rich, luxurious ambiance that makes the experience feel special from the moment you walk in. Reception was straightforward — once four members of our party had arrived, we were seated. From that point on, the service was top tier: polished, attentive, and professional throughout the evening. We enjoyed the dry-aged Prime New York Strip and dry-aged Prime Ribeye, both beautifully prepared. Surprisingly, the New York Strip was our favourite of the two, with outstanding flavour and texture. We also tried the Filet Mignon, which, while good, didn't quite measure up and was a little on the dry side. For sides, we shared the Au Gratin Potatoes, Creamed Spinach, and Jumbo Mac & Cheese. The Creamed Spinach was the clear winner — rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. The cocktails were also very good, although I found $24 for a Manhattan a little steep. Overall, an exceptional steakhouse with first-class service, outstanding dry-aged beef, and an elegant atmosphere that's well worth experiencing. Saluti.

If you’re looking for a true high-end steakhouse experience in Houston, Pappas Bros. Steakhouse absolutely delivers. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels elevated—classic, refined, and unmistakably luxurious without being stuffy. The bar set the tone right away. The bartender nailed a proper dirty vodka tonic (which, let’s be honest, is rarer than it should be), and the blue cheese–stuffed olives? Game over. So good. We had a large group, and they handled it like pros. Everything was seamless—from service to timing—and having a private, pre-selected menu made the whole experience feel curated and effortless. Every dish that came out was consistently delicious, no weak links. Bottom line: top-tier service, incredible food, and an experience that feels worth the splurge. Definitely a go-to for special occasions… or when you just want to remind yourself you’ve got good taste 😉

Food and service was excellent. Reservation made for 545pm and it was packed when we arrived. Started with 4 oz of the a5 wagyu, tender and served on a salt block which added to great flavor. Next, ordered the octopus carpaccio which was tender, very hard to get with octopus! We shared the filet duo, and were so full we didn't finish it, but the meat was cooked perfectly medium rare, and it was still really good the next time we heated it at home. We received an anniversary dessert, which was very nice of them! Everyone made our first meal here feel special. Alex was our server and he was great! Will definitely consider coming back for other special occasions.

WE WERE WRONG and they treated us like we were right. Ordered a ribeye and when it came out (perfectly cooked) it looked like a strip or a maybe a sirloin, just… not marbled and juicy like I normally expect ribeye. Alerted our waitress and they quickly had the manager table side. Manager explained that this was a ribeye but perhaps from the leaner end of the cut. No matter, they were already working to replace it with a juicier ribeye and redo all of the sides, no questions asked, just so that everything came out hot together again. Could we wait just a moment? Sure, one more round of perfectly executed cocktails and we had another set of delicious sides (potatoes au gratin and absolutely perfect asparagus) to go with a much juicier ribeye. Finished off the meal with decadent dessert and some truly delicious port. But the kicker was that they gave us the “wrong” steak and our first round of sides in the to-go bag. Couldn’t ask for better service, truly appreciate the care and attention that helped make a celebratory evening special. Hats off to Pappas Bros, we’ll be back.

We never thought a steakhouse would beat Taste of Texas in our eyes… But… Pappas officially took the #1 spot When you literally don’t even need a knife to cut the steak, that’s saying something. My husband and I split the porterhouse. Got the lobster deviled eggs, skillet potatoes & Brussel sprouts. Our server was fantastic! And everyone in the restaurant was so kind to wish us a happy anniversary Can’t wait to come back & neither can our dog who LOVED the bone we brought home 😄
