My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille!!!! We were celebrating my husband’s birthday. From the moment we arrived, everything felt thoughtful and elevated. They do have a dress code, which added an extra touch of elegance and made our lunch date feel even more romantic. The restaurant was not overly busy, allowing for a relaxed and intimate atmosphere. The staff was incredibly welcoming and polite, and we were pleasantly surprised to find a birthday card waiting for my husband at the table—such a thoughtful detail. Our server, Ryan, did an excellent job walking us through the menu and making recommendations. The wine selection is extensive, and while I chose the raspberry cucumber cooler—which was absolutely delicious—my husband kept it classic with a Coca-Cola. We both started with the Caesar salad, which was fresh and flavorful. For our main courses, I ordered the oven-roasted redfish with loaded mashed potatoes, and my husband had the Ahi Tuna fillet Mignon. Every dish was prepared perfectly and tasted amazing. To finish, we shared the fudge chocolate cake. It had a rich, mousse-like texture and was the perfect ending to our meal. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend Perry’s to anyone who enjoys fine dining and exceptional service.
Was celebrating a special night with my wife but nobody asked what the occasion was. Service was good but the amount of time for the dishes to come out was quite slow. Food settled before the main entrees came out. Cocktails were great. Seafood tower was a mix. Enjoyed it but no creamy mustard and salmon instead of the typical seafood tower lobster was a real head scratcher. Remove the salmon and replace it with two more oysters and two more shrimp would be much better. Never been to a steakhouse with such little oysters and shrimp for the biggest seafood tower available. Also the no creamy mustard ruined the experience imo. The calamari was the worst calamari I’ve had in town and I’ve tried every steakhouse in Houston. No dip and lacked flavor imo. It had a bunch of spice which just didn’t go well. I’ve had better crab cakes but it was fine. Also had the artichoke dip which was fine. Pappadeaux is much better but it was still good but I do love artichoke dips so I’m biased there. The steak was ironically overseasoned. The pepper was overbearing to the point of empowering all the steak flavor. Not sure who it fell on but our steak wasn’t delivered with the trio sauces we accompanied the steak with. By the time we were able to mention it we were already half way done with our steaks. I couldn’t remember the mushroom appetizer we got but I did like it. Not sure if it came with cheese but if it didn’t, it would have paired well with it. If it did already come with it, it needed a bit more. The steak and tater tots needed more cream. The chocolate crunch was fine. A simple scoop of vanilla ice cream would have helped big time. Without it the dish on its own was nothing special. The cheesecake was good though. Spent almost $500 for two people. Don’t care how much I’m spending as long as it leaves me very impressed in every aspect. Unfortunately neither of us felt that and I was fighting hard to add this to one of our regular staples. I’ve spent less and have had a better experience in every aspect in other steakhouses in town. Gave it a shot but was just let down in the end.
So many STEAK houses in Houston - pick another one. Yikes I’m so upset I don’t think I can write a detailed review like I usually do…. This was for my sons special celebration night out - $260.00 for 2 people. That includes a $40 tip ! And I am a single Mother who saved to take him for a special pork chop that somebody told him about….. Nobody even helped go over the menu, we had no idea the vegetable servings were family style and we would be charged accordingly … Outrageously overpriced, this gorgeous restaurant has drastically declined maybe with so many locations now or the lack of server training I do not know…..
Hands down the best pork chop I have ever had. On Fridays you can get a great deal on it. Great atmosphere for a solo date, date night or pork chop Friday lunch. They have the best espresso martini. 🍸 The bar area has great seating. I enjoy coming here.
Great lunch experience. From Surf to Turf, the menu is sure to tempt. Super staff, they understand how to facilitate a true diners experience. Ambiance meets flavor, and absolute must for anyone in the area.
