I rarely leave reviews, but I felt it was important to share my experience. I was told I would receive a follow-up call regarding a claim I made about an instructor, but no one ever contacted me. My 5-year-old daughter already had swimming experience and is comfortable in the water, so I was surprised by how disappointing the class was. Throughout the lesson, the instructor, Miss TJ, frequently yelled at the children. When my daughter’s hands were in the wrong position, she pulled her by the legs, causing her to swallow water multiple times. Later, when it was time to jump for a toy, my daughter was already scared because of how the class had been going. She said “no,” but instead of helping her feel safe or encouraging her at her own pace, the instructor pushed her to do it. I understand that instructors sometimes need to raise their voices so children can hear them over the water, and the instructor explained that this was why she was yelling. However, there’s a significant difference between projecting your voice and creating an intimidating environment. When a young child is scared, the priority should be building trust and confidence, not forcing them through fear. What concerns me most is that Miss TJ is the supervisor. If this is the teaching style being modeled and encouraged, I don’t believe this is the right environment for young children to learn how to swim.

Our son has had a great experience here. He’s moved up several classes and continues to improve. He enjoys going every week and has really appreciated his instructors Sofia, TJ, and Devin.

Staff is great! Wish they would upgrade facilities, fix blow dryers, and add the tumbler machines for wringing out wet clothes.

My daughter has been at Wolfies since January 2025, first in the Littles class and now the Bigs. Both instructors we’ve had, Ms. Devin and Ms. Sofia, have been caring and engaging. We’re very happy with our daughter’s progress and excited to see her continue to grow.
