Great vibes interior is well decorated but that’s all I can say about this place. There was only one girl managing by the counter who was talking to a friend most of the time but she quickly took our order at least. The food was brought out pretty quickly, place was empty as it was around 10 PM on a Sunday. Didnt really like that they were playing the news about the Iran war tbh. Really brought the vibes of the place down because while you’re trying to enjoy your meal you’re seeing buildings being blown up and rescue efforts amongst rubble. Didn’t match the “chill bar” vibes of the restaurant. We ordered tacos and a burrito with beef and both were over saturated with oil to the point where it made our stomach upset. See pictures. We had to use lots and lots of paper towels to pat away excess oil from both the meat and the tortillas which were fried too crispy for my liking. The 4 oz elote was also overly creamy and far far too small, had more mayo and cheese than corn. The cup it came in was also too small to mix all the ingredients and enjoy. For the prices you can definitely get far better tacos just across the street at 100% Taquito or somewhere else. Like, I know the area is a little pricier but the quantity and quality of food just doesn’t justify it. Just seems more like a bar than a restaurant also to be honest. Will not be going back.
We purchased tacos and chilaquiles for breakfast this morning. The food was very good. We normally order chilaquiles with green sauce. Theirs came with red and was surprisingly good. We will definitely come back!
I originally was going to try the bao place next door, but ultimately decided to try something different and try this spot. First, upon ordering the girl that was behind the register was blatantly on her phone and made no attempt to see if I was ready to order. I had to walk up closer to indicate that I was even there. In fact, she was still actively typing on her phone WHILE she finally decided to take my order. No greeting, or anything. I felt like I was intruding and it really set the whole mood off. Now on to the food. I ordered the beef fajita torta and it is comically small for how much it was ($12.99 I believe). Which is a shame because it was delicious in taste. But I can’t justify spending that much again for so little food. All in all, if you want a non-welcoming atmosphere with mediocre sized food, this is your place.
The atmosphere and ease was nice but the food was very oily. I was so happy to find this place and was looking forward to enjoying the Mexican flavor profile. I loved its atmosphere and how easy it was to drive up, get in, and order. Unfortunately, the service and the food lacked a little. We told the girl it was our first time there and she just said ok and waited silently for us to figure out what we wanted. It would have been nice for her to explain things or talk to us. Not that it was hard just would have felt nice. Also the food was very oily. My tacos were dripping oil and my tostada had a cream on it that tasted like mayo. I was able to let the tacos drip a bit and take off most of the cream but it was a little much. Those things made it just ok instead of great.
I had the worst customer service experience here. I’ve been to this establishment a couple times prior to this interaction and I was not accommodated the one time there was an issue. I ordered two barbacoa tacos and they gave me a vegetable and some other taco that I didn’t order. Mistakes happen I wasn’t too upset about it but I did call to let them know about the situation. The woman on the phone gave me options either to issue a refund or bring the tacos back to exchange. It was 11pm at night so I decided to go with the choice of a refund. She said to wait a few minutes and I should receive the $$ back. The next day I still didn’t receive anything so I called again to ask about it and another woman answers telling me that the manager said I can’t get a refund, I asked to speak with him and she said he wasn’t there I asked what days he works and she said she can’t tell me. At this point I’m getting the run around there’s no structure in the responses. I don’t find this fair especially given that it was the restaurants fault for giving me the incorrect tacos. If you’re giving a customer this option to fix the situation with a refund then it should’ve been handled that way. Now i’m being told something completely different, if that was the case that should have been told to be from the beginning and I would’ve just took the wrong tacos back to be replaced with the correct ones. The second woman on the phone the next day also told me as we were talking that’s it’s “common sense” to bring back the food. To me if all of the employees were on the same page there would be no confusion in the first place. If I was told the correct information the first time to handle the situation there would be no confusion. That was a very rude and uncalled for comment and I felt highly disrespected. This place will never get my buisness again and I won’t be speaking highly of this place.
