Update - visit #2. Be sure to check the hours on Google before going. Food was great & made fresh this time too. We found this hidden gem on TikTok and it did not disappoint. It tasted great & was filling. The consomme was tasty and not too thick. I paid about $30 for a fresh squeezed watermelon guava limeade with 4 full size birria tacos, limes included and consomme. I tried 2 beef and 2 chicken. My daughter had the chicken birria quesadilla and it was good size. Filling as well. Not far from downtown, med center and the museum district. I think they go to different locations so you probably want to look them up on social media before driving to the Almeda location. Cute little table setup along with various games while you wait. I'll definitely go back to try other options. I believe they also have shrimp and vegan options.

My wife and I visited, Texas for my son's graduation. Our hotel was located in downtown, Houston. Not knowing where to eat we searched places on TIKTOK. I've heard that, Texas does not have good Mexican food like we have in, California. I know this business is black owned buttttttttttt the taco's we ordered were tasty! The meat, green sauce and consume had their own flavors. Before I knew it, there was a party in my mouth. I cannot wait to return! This company is sitting on a gold mine. Customer service: 10/10 Food: 10/10 Atmosphere: 10/10

The food and service was amazing! I love The picnic vibe and the music was so nostalgic! I purchased two shrimp tacos, which I ate in my car because of the Houston heat. I was immediately grateful that I hadn’t pulled off because I went back to the truck and ordered two more😋 Also, today was $4 taco day! Win, Win, Win for me!!!

I love Birria Queen when the order is right — the food can be great, amazing even. Notice I said when the order is right. Unfortunately, my partner and I receive the correct order 50% of the time. While they fix each mistake, it often turns into a process. Who wants to reorder food 50% of the time. Last night, I ordered vegan tacos with regular cheese and received vegan cheese instead. Even after showing the receipt, the staff member insisted the order was correct. They offered to “remake”, well the “remake “ ended up being regular cheese added on top of vegan cheese, which tasted off. Imagine spending $30.30, for (4) jackfruit tacos that tasted like the chemicals from vegan cheese mixed with a weird slimy texture of the two cheeses, combining. Eeeeeyyycckkk!! After years of this I am officially not ordering again. The price point, customer service and fake remake were enough for me to move on. And another note: Obviously, the ordering process is not working because this happens 50% of the time. Just have an option for tacos. Take the word vegan out of it let people customize so that your staff doesn’t see vegan and automatically add vegan cheese. Just a thought.

The atmosphere is nice, I love the whole corn hole idea to play while you wait. The tacos are good, I think the consume is a lil too watery, and bland, but other than that, I do recommend this place if you're looking for vegan tacos in the Houston area.
