My sister recommended this place to me and said she and my brother in law loved the tacos and burritos. It was their first time visiting, too. So I went and appreciated having shrimp as an option for a burrito bowl. I had the lettuce and guacamole on the side; and I had a barbacoa taco. Although the taste of everything was good, I was not as impressed as my family. The barbacoa meat was very tender and the shrimp were seasoned well. However, for the price and distance from where I live, I can get some food from somewhere else quicker. The traffic to get out of the drive thru to the street was nerve wracking.

I have seen these spots popping up, and I was eager to finally give them a try. I’m a big Burger Joint fan, and knowing that the Taco Stand has the same owner I was optimistic This spot located in the Greater Heights is relatively new. There’s a parking lot, but we went on the weekend, and while the interior didn’t look overly full, it was somewhat difficult to find a parking spot. The restaurant itself is clean. Everything is pretty much green and white. There’s covered patio seating. You order from a window and there’s a large menu printed nearby The menu offers all sorts of tacos, meats, burritos, bowls, quesadillas, quesabirras, sides, and even kids meals. You can get beer, margaritas, and non-alcoholic drinks. There’s also a breakfast menu The food was good, and it didn’t take too long to come out. My main issue was the service. The individual taking orders seemed to have a bit of an attitude and just seemed “over it.” Furthermore, we mentioned having a queso coupon and when we were given the total I placed my card on the reader and I was told that I did it too fast and the queso wasn’t taken off. The odd thing was, we walked away and realized that they didn’t add the queso and the coupon was for free queso so they could have just rung up an additional queso. This individual had the vibe of eye rolling everything, and it honestly left a bad taste in my mouth Some tips: You can order online to avoid any wait. Just go up to the pick-up window when it’s supposed to be ready for a painless interaction There’s a little bar area where you can get pre-packaged (to-go) salsas, pickled onions, limes, etc etc etc. the salsas are tomatillo, habanero, and jalapeño (I believe) You can order margaritas to go, which we did! Cheers!!

Went for National Margarita Day, and the drinks and food were amazing! Drinks had just the right amount of alcohol and tacos were so authentic and yummy! First time here and it won't be my last. Especially, since everything is reasonably priced. Download their mobile app for even more savings!

I tried The Taco Stand on DoorDash and was very pleased with the quality and freshness of all the ingredients. Prices were reasonable and I know they’re convenient even if you go in person. I like the bowl if you don’t feel like filling up on the tortilla, but you can’t go wrong with anything Mexican staple here.

I could definitely see myself coming back. But let me detail my experience: I drove a couple of friends here abt 2 weeks ago. I didn’t get anything, but the menu looked very appetizing and the prices seemed decent; both friends said the food was good. I tried going yesterday (Tues) around 7:30 PM and the wait in the drive thru line was too long and I was sweaty and gross from working out, so I pulled out of line and drove away. I went back today around 6:15PM; again, through the drive thru. wait time wasn’t bad. there were 3 cars ahead of me. I ordered a mushroom taco w/ corn tortilla and a carnita taco w/ flour tortilla. It’s a 20 min drive home. When I got home there was no onions, cilantro, or queso fresco with the mushroom taco. Just yummy mushrooms and tortilla. Whomp… The tortilla for the Carnita taco was soggy from juice/grease but that was on me bc of the drive time. I churched up the mushroom taco with my own avocado and crumbled feta and warmed up a fresh flour tortilla for the carnita taco, which had LOTS of meat and did include the onions and cilantro :) I would like to try again with a dine in experience.
