The line work is absolutely incredible — so clean, detailed, and precise. The artist was super professional from start to finish and made the whole experience comfortable and easy. You can really tell he takes pride in his work. The tattoo turned out even better than I imagined and I’ve already gotten so many compliments on it. Highly recommend!

I can’t say enough good things about Catfish. He has many years of experience, and you can absolutely see it in his work. His tattoos speak for themselves clean, detailed, and done by someone who truly knows his craft. I love his art so much. What keeps me coming back just as much as the art is the experience. He always makes me feel comfortable and safe, and he’s really attentive during the whole session making sure I'm fine. Getting tattooed can be intimidating, but with him it never feels that way. Over time he’s become a friend too. We spend sessions talking about anime and old-school Japanese movies, which makes the hours fly by. It’s rare to find someone this talented who also creates such a welcoming atmosphere. I’m really grateful I found him and The Flying Squid. Highly recommend.

I had the absolute privilege of working with Catfish for two deeply meaningful tattoos—one to honor the birth of my grandchild and another to commemorate the passing of my mother. These were not just tattoos, they were moments in my life that deserved care, intention, and artistry… and Catfish delivered all of that and more. From the moment I walked in, I felt at ease. There’s a calm, grounded energy in his space that allows you to fully settle into the experience. He took the time to understand the significance behind each piece, and you can feel that intention in his work. The artistry is truly exceptional—clean, precise, and beautifully executed—but what sets him apart is the experience he creates. Both sessions felt almost ceremonial in nature, honoring the emotions tied to each tattoo. I walked away not only with stunning artwork, but with a sense of closure, connection, and gratitude. Catfish is amazing. He's a consummate professional. His tattoos are super bold and he's an amazing illustrator. Super flexible and cheap. He's a real tattoo enthusiasts tattoo artist. I've had 5 catfish tats and expect to get more.

We came in as a walk-ins, had plenty of art/comics to look at while we waited. Good tunes, too. Worked with artist, Jeremy, to design a cover-up/fix-up for my father-in-law's tattoo. Artist took all our suggestions and gave valuable input, along with any other artists that happened to overhear us. Tattoo came out great and exactly what he wanted. I'll be coming here for any work I need done, for sure.
