In Houston, Texas and looking for some great TEX MEX? Find a El Tiempo Cantina to start your journey to food enjoyment. The prices are actually good for the amount of food you receive. The staff is incredibly helpful and offers great details about the menu, food and cocktails available. I tried the brisket burrito which had a Sweet taste but still savory. I also had a orange flan for the first time. Sweet and Delicious! Great for families, groups or eating solo. You won't wait long for a table as staff works quickly. Might be abit busy on the weekends and during lunch time during the week. The Manager, Angela, greeted us with a smile and double checked our order and even offered a to go cup for our drinks. Definitely coming back here again. Thanks for the great service and wonderful food and drinks. Tell them Alan of Get Up Radio sent ya!

This is great Tex mex. They really represent Texas with the “everything is bigger in Texas”. The enchilada was huge IMO. The place was spacious with tons of seating. They have free chips and salsa but those weren’t really the best I’ve had.. the chips were a little too hard for me and the salsa didn’t have as much flavor and the green sauce. I tried their famous house margaritas and it was strong like they say and very tasty! I also tried the red chicken enchilada. It was very cheesy and flavorful. The portion was big like I said. You get a choice of how you want Your beans cooked and I got it refried. I also got some rice with it and it was all delicious together. The service was good as well. I’m not sure why a guy was taking photos at the table and then trying to sell it. That was a little too intrusive. The parking was kinda awful but I did see that they have valet parking.

Great Tex Mex food in a good atmosphere. The drinks were excellent too. While it's very good, Papasitos still has them beat.

Really tasty food and great vibes. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. The food came out piping hot and so flavorful. The sauce on the enchaladas was a real highlight

I normally get the beef fajitas when I go; the fajita beef is normally tasty & tender but the last few times I’ve been there; which I use to frequent weekly the meat hasn’t been as tasty or tender. Time before today-the beef tasted burnt. Today it is tough but I don’t won’t to complain bc it sort of expected. But I just the type of person that likes to be honest bc if I’m paying $40 on a meal & then a cocktail I want to enjoy it NOT just TOLERATE it; or else what’s the point of coming out… because I’m a damn good cook; PERHAPS that’s the issue 🤣. I try to stay loyal & patronize my local businesses, however, when I get 2 bad experiences back to back I normally give them about a year hiatus 🤷🏽‍♀️
