We were out and about and made an impromptu decision to eat here for lunch. I think I randomly saw it somewhere and was intrigued and seeing it reminded me I wanted to try it lol. The service was great and atmosphere was amazing and lively. I love the decor! Now to the bad, the food was mediocre and bland. The only thing that was actually tasty and seasoned was the free salsa that came with the chips. Glad we tried it but we won’t be back again. It’s great that they have gluten free and vegetarian options and it’s a good spot for those that are more health minded or with dietary restrictions.
Been here twice and both times were some of the best and most authentic Tex-Mex cuisine in Texas! Took our friends who are from Puerto Rico and they loved it too, said it tasted like food from their home and was so good. The restaurant likes to do specials and will sometimes give a little sample of a new dish the chef is working on, never missed with flavor on anything we've tried! Reasonably priced margaritas with some unique twists and flavors. Killer desserts too!
Zero Stars. Don’t go here. Went against my better judgment and thought “some of the reviews are great let’s give it a shot” … worst mistake. I ordered the two combo lunch special, tell me why my chicken flautas were covered under a MOUND of lettuce soup. Yes soup. There’s no way to even eat this. soggy, gross, wouldn’t recommend. Ruined my day.
Tex-Mex Garage did not disappoint! We had the chicken tacos and the Del Rio platter, and everything was absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Each bite was tasty and satisfying, and the portions were just right. Great food, great vibes, and definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to. Highly recommend!
Mike behind the bar is the man! If you need a drink, definitely sit at the bar, he’s got you. Also, you can order food while at the bar. Definitely get the Pollo Vienna, you won’t regret it. For margaritas, try the El Garage. Overall, it’s a nice environment with friendly people. Lastly, don’t forget the tres leches cake for dessert. I promise that’s the best tres leches you’ll ever have.
