I've never looked at any of the other stops in the strip other than Miyako's for yeeears ( only place that I go to in this spot ) . But today some balloons caught our eyes and decided to try . Very attentive the moment we walked in , set up is simple did like the bird nest decor and I'm going to assume that the paper and colors are for the children. I was pleasantly surprised as to how many parents and kids were there and came in. ( there was no crying but I definitely noticed ) We had what I would call cheese puffs which I did like , the color looks like they were over cooked and maybe they were but we liked ( we ordered two 😋 both looked the same so maybe they weren't 🤔) We also had the Tom Yum soup and it was great I could eat that as a main course and be fine plenty of veggies which was a pleasant surprise the 1960 location is hit or miss on the veggies. But to be honest I'd be OK with none We ordered the Pad Thai Chicken which when I tried the noodle tasted room temp I hadn't mixed with the chicken and I only took one bite but I can only assume that mixed it was hot my friend didn't complain so and i didn't ask so i can only guess it was ( the bite i did take regardless of temp was good loved the texture and spice) The Thai Cashew nut was a table hit loved the chicken and veggies simple as that. Last was the Yellow curry medium heat and it was delicious my daughter isn't a big fan of curry but even she liked it . The portions were sizable I'm not sure about the price point I didn't pay so I'm not sure about cost and we went during a 1/2 off happy hour ( so maybe that's why THEY paid 🤔😄 ) Table serves was all over us constantly making sure we were ok and if we needed anything. The food did come out very fast I kinda would have liked to finish more or our appetizers but we were hungry so it really didn't matter much. Over all we'd really liked it now I have TWO reasons to come to this area

My family and I had a beautiful delicious dinner her! The staff is always so sweet kind and nice to me and my family. They were so polite and kept saying thank you and really catered to us . I appreciated them treating us with so much respect and care. The food was so amazing and flavorful as well. We got the pineapple curry, chicken curry, combination plate and some other delicious dishes. The Thai tea was also good my dad said

If you’re looking for a high-quality lunch that doesn’t break the bank, Nara Thai is a total winner. I stopped in for their Lunch Special and was blown away by the value. The Standout: Pad Thai with Tofu 🥢 I usually judge a Thai spot by their Pad Thai, and this one was amazing. The flavor was perfectly balanced, not overly sweet or oily. The tofu is often an afterthought elsewhere, but here it was prepared perfectly and soaked up all the flavor! The quantity is very generous for a lunch special. I left full and happy! The Vibe & Service: The atmosphere is incredibly relaxed and chill, which makes it a perfect escape from a busy workday. The service was prompt and friendly. I never felt rushed, but I also wasn't waiting around for my check. The Verdict: Great price, great quality, and even better service. If you're in Houston and craving authentic Thai, this is a must-visit.

Went here on a date night because we really wanted thai food. The service was very friendly and the food was great! Everything was well presented, and the staff were happy to make some minor modifications to my girlfriend's dish. I ordered the Pad Kee Mao and it was great. (Shown in review picture)

Wow! What a lovely gem in the Heights. Amazing service, dietary accommodations (gluten-free), and top-tier quality of food. The chicken curry puffs were to die for. We also liked having a little task while we waited to eat (the crayons!). Will definitely be coming again soon ❤️
