Fidelity National Title: A Stress-Free Real Estate Transaction Before: Buying real estate can be a stressful and hectic experience. There are a lot of moving parts, and it can be easy to feel like you're not in control. I was especially worried about being taken advantage of, as I've heard horror stories about people being screwed over by title companies. After: I was fortunate enough to work with Fidelity National Title, and my experience was the opposite of stressful. The staff was professional, responsive, and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain everything to me in a way that I could understand, and they made sure that I was comfortable with every step of the process. Specifically: Professional staff: Joelle Karam was my title officer, and she was amazing. She was incredibly knowledgeable about real estate law, and she was always available to answer my questions. She made me feel like I could trust her, and I knew that I was in good hands. Responsiveness: Fidelity was always responsive to my emails and phone calls. They were always willing to help me out, even when I was asking questions that were outside of the scope of their normal duties. Good quality: The service that I received from Fidelity was top-notch. They went above and beyond to make sure that my transaction went smoothly. They even helped me to negotiate a better interest rate on my mortgage. Overall: I highly recommend Fidelity National Title to anyone who is buying or selling real estate. We closed (sellers side) with them in November 2023. I’m writing this in April of 2024 as we received delinquency notices that the school taxes were not paid and we were incurring late fees. I reached out to Daisy and assumed it was probably just an error as taxes are paid out of our escrow when we sell as is standard. To our horror she told us that they didn’t deduct it from our selling profits as the bill hadn’t generated. No one, at any point during this entire almost two month process (contract to close) disclosed this to us this from the title company and we are extremely frustrated due to this lack of professionalism. And to add to that, she said she would reach out to the buyers for their prorated portion and never followed up with us so even more late fees tacked on! We ended up paying the full amount to just be done with it as she only reached back out after the buyers got the bill. I doubt we will ever see the funds from the buyers for their responsible portion and will never use Fidelity again.

This is an absolutely top notch title company! Closing on a home is a nerve-wracking experience, but the entire team here was exceptional to work with and put my wife and I at ease. They were extremely punctual, responsive, and on the ball with every detail. The closing attorney, Charles Mansour, was professional and knowledgeable. It was a pleasure to work with him. Probably the best part of the whole experience was that we signed the closing documents in the title van, so we never had to leave the vicinity of our residence! Fantastic idea and made me wonder why no one else had thought of it. I would use these guys again in a heartbeat!

We had to close with Juliana one of their agents and she was extremely rude, she kept banging the papers around, at the end we (sellers party) asked if she could let us know the status with the buyers and I’m a very disrespectful way she said I will only contact the agent and pushed us out the door. Closing on a home takes so much paperwork and so many factors very stressful that if you can choose a title company find one that will make you feel welcome and important (as buyer or seller) not this one.

We really enjoyed our closing experience with Charles. My only deduction is from the fact that he misled us regarding property tax reconciliations. Based on a question I asked, we were told that his office would help with reconciling property tax charges once they were paid at the end of the year. This is not the case....they just give you the seller contact info. Still, would use him again.
