I am not sure who was preparing food today 07/27/26 around 5:09 pm. (See receipt) Bit they took it upon themselves to use old wilted lettuce to make my black bean wrap. Initially I thought maybe it was just from the heat of the blackbean patty. But as you can see from the photos that lettuce was old before whomever prepared my sandwich chose to look at it and proceed to use it. I am on a new food journey due to my health and having eaten at Sunshine plenty times before I thought to myself “I could definitely make them part of my journey into better eating.” This is the first time I have been absolutely disappointed and sad that this Black Owned community staple would treat its customers as such. The service was great as always but this wrap is subpar to say the least. Idk when OR IF I will ever come back. But I hope neither myself or the next customer is not given old food that should have been thrown away. Quality control was non existent today.
Went twice back to back during the Daniel Fast. Service and food are great. The owner came out to make sure we enjoyed our visit. The food is made to order so it’s fresh each time. My only complaint would be the parking. About 5 cars can safely and comfortably fit without having to ask someone to come move- no exaggeration. Other than that you can’t beat made to order food and good service.
Very beautiful atmosphere for any occasion. I love the concept of the a second eating area(backyard). Although the place is small for parking and could be hazardous to their customers it’s probably best to uber there for the safety of your car. But, the food is top notch as well as the friendly staff. I loved the inside seating because it was not short on space.
The food was incredible, staff was helpful in choosing something/explaining merchandise, and the shea butter is out of this world! The halle berry juice was refreshing and the lentil bowl was so yummy.
I have been coming to Sunshine’s for a few years now. It’s not just about the food, although I’ve had at least a dozen items on the menu and every time was 5 star. I come here for my Soursop leaves, Chlorella powder, Seamoss, Sunshine Surprise, and the Ginger Beer. I come here for wellness, like my pharmacy, but the food is the best bonus because there’s NO WAY I can pick up a few items and NOT grab something to eat to go from here.🤷🏽♂️😂 Black Bean Nachos 🔥 but pick anything on the menu and you won’t be disappointed. Thank you Sunshine 🔥🫡
