Absolutely incredible... I cannot say enough about this spot. We drove into Houston from Louisiana and knew they would only be open one day during our trip so it was a no brainer for us to go straight there and order whatever we could. We met Chris while he was running food out to another customer. He was an absolute joy to talk to and get to know in our short little time there. He serves and makes the sushi out of this house here, so you order everything online. He recommended the Papi Shroom and the Truffle Edamame. We ordered the papi shroom rolls, low-key loki roll and the inari tofu pockets. Chris was so incredibly kind and threw in two extra rolls for us to try including the truffle edamame and the green goddess rolls, and even gave us a sample of the seaweed salad and a delicious oyster mushroom topped potato salad?!? I mean come on!! The service literally does not get better than that. I will forever be a fan and supporter of Chris and The Vegan Sushi Spot. If you live in Houston, then consider yourself lucky for being able to have such a place like this to go to. And if you're visiting from out of town then DO NOT SKIP this place!!! A must try, must have every day sushi. Thank you Chris for making my birthday so memorable and for literally Everything!! I'll never forget this experience 🫶🏼❤️‍🔥

Wow is really all I can say! I have been vegan for 8 years and have never found a vegan sushi spot like this one, or one at all really. The Chef is so talented and a wonderful individual. You can tell he really understands food and flavors, and puts a lot of craft into each item offered. I got 3 different rolls all of them very different from one another and all delicious! Chef hand delivered my order to me and we got to learn a little bit more about him. (Follow him on instagram!) Not only was the food incredible, but the service too! You can tell he truly has a passion for what he does and you taste it in every bite. This isn’t just great VEGAN sushi this is GREAT SUSHI period. My fiancé isn’t vegan and loved everything as well. We were truly blown away with everything from food, to service, to presentation. We drove a little over an hour to come try this place and we will 100% make the trip again. Absolutely recommend and is worth every dollar.

This was my first time here and I was not disappointed! There were so many different textures and flavors in one bite but they were all well balanced and the vegetables were the perfect texture! I'm not vegan or vegetarian but fish doesn't feel necessary in these dishes at all. I got the inari tofu pockets, spicy dragon, and the spicy mami (current fav out of the three). Will definitely order from here again!

The amount of time, care, and artistry that went into each roll is amazing and mind blowing! We drove 45+ minutes to try it and it was totally worth it! This one reviewer said she bodied the sushi in the car because it was too good and we totally understand and did the same! My husband said it was better than fish sushi which he loves and I don’t know how but the watermelon tuna has even more flavor than fish and you don’t have to worry about getting parasites 😋 Also, the chef was THE NICEST and most humble person ever! Definitely give it a try, you’ll be going back for more!

Chef Chris has done amazing job of creating wonderful, tasty and creative Vegan Sushi, especially in additionally catering for those that avoid onions and garlic. Great presentation, and amazing flavor! It’s definitely worth the drive. We will definitely be a regular here going forward, would highly recommend!
