One of the best food experiences I’ve ever had in Houston. The restaurant was incredibly clean, the selection of food was surprisingly big for tiny space. The service was some of the friendliest I’ve experienced at any restaurant. They never let your cup run dry, they never let dirty dishes stack on your table, and they always had smiles and a kind demeanor. Now let’s get to the food. The food was incredible! Very flavorful, nothing bland. The sweet sour soup was sour, anything that was supposed to be spiced, had spice. Overall great experience!

love it here… the buffet is amazing, you can get a little bit of everything… my favorites are the eggplant in garlic sauce, veggie balls and the salt and pepper tofu, but the green beans, sautéed udon, cucumber salad and the tofu in the sweet/sour sauce are so good too. i love how they leave a pitcher of water on the table so you don’t need to wait for refills. they are always friendly and i think the price is reasonable 🩷 hope they stay open for a long time, i will be back!!!

We’ve visited this fully vegan Asian restaurant twice and both experiences were excellent! The first time, we ordered takeout — their combo meal and spicy dumplings were absolutely delicious, fresh, and perfectly seasoned even after delivery. On our second visit, we tried their all-day buffet and were so happy to find that every single item was 100% vegan and flavorful. Favorites included the coconut fruit milk, sesame balls, and a variety of well-balanced stir-fries. Everything tasted freshly made, and it’s rare to find such a satisfying vegan spread — we’ll definitely be coming back soon!

We had such a wonderful first experience at Trendy Vegan in Houston! Walking in, we immediately felt welcomed by the relaxed atmosphere and the delicious smells coming from the kitchen. They actually had a buffet going when we visited, which looked amazing, but since it was our first time we decided to order from the menu so we could really savor a few dishes. We started with the garlic cucumber and the veggie bao, even though the portion was more than satisfying for 2 people, we still had leftover due to us wanting to save room for our main! :) For our entrées, we ordered the tempeh with vegetables and a bento box featuring salt and pepper tofu as the main dish. Everything was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The tempeh was well-prepared with a sauce coating the veg and slices of tempeh. The salt and pepper tofu had the perfect balance of crispiness and spice, my partner was so happy to have the salt and pepper dish “veganized”! The bento was really nice too coming with the cold dan dan noodles, salad, rice and spring roll! What really stood out to us was how attentive our host was! We thought everyone was lovely and I was happy to see the place had people eating and coming in while we were there :) Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or just curious about plant-based food, Trendy Vegan is absolutely worth a visit. We left feeling full, happy, and excited to come back (and maybe try that buffet next time!). Highly recommend! (I didn’t grab a picture of the salt and pepper tofu!)

If you are a vegetarian or vegan but you love Chinese food, this place is a must try. They offer a buffet as well as menu options. The menu offers a number Asians favorites. The food is always freshly made. They put out just enough so the food is not sitting too long in the hot trays. While the restaurant is quite small, it is very clean with excellent service. This was my first visit. I have enjoyed them each time.
